Peaceful time and space are the gifts this small cabin offers. Rare are the opportunities to enjoy simple pleasures and explore the universe within. Efforts to make this place more than it is would diminish its treasures.

The well-maintained wooden house with peeked tin roof and a large deck wrapping 3 sides sits far from any neighbors other than occasional cattle passing by. Elevation in this high desert is 3700 ft. and the top of Guadalupe Mountain is at about 8700 feet. Cool evening breezes are welcome after arid warmth of the day. At night there are a few distant lights from the village of Dell City; the stars are brighter.

Walking into the park to the white gypsum sand dunes takes about an hour from the park gate. Or drive to the main entrance of Guadalupe Mountain National Park about 45 minutes away to hike to the tip top of Texas or visit McKittrick Canyon. Carlsbad Caverns is about 1.5 hours drive from your desert casita.

The farming community of Dell City, about 10 miles west, has a small grocery store, service station, church, great Mexican food at Spanish Angels, and nice people. The CL Ranch office is on Main Street at Trail West office park on your left as you enter town. Welcome!
