Deer come down to the water to drink..blue herons land on the boat house and Eagles soar by...and you can watch it all from the large covered deck as you grill out on the provided gas grill.
At the end of the day after you have watched the sun set over the river bridge you may wish to watch large screen TV with satellite by the fireside.
The home is on deep main channel where you can pull and tie up your sailboat without a problem. A short drive takes you to several Golf Courses...the theater or one of the many dining establishments...

I so enjoyed my stay at Hawk's Nest. The house is simply charming, and very welcoming. The decor is spot on. I would recommend to anyone to pay this place a visit, cos' you wont want to leave. I didnt~! I found the house to be impressively clean, the sunrises beautiful, and everything you need to cook and enjoy those around you provided. Even enjoyed meeting Red Dog, who would stop and visit from time to time. I'll be back.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

enjoyed staying at hawksnest.house was nice,the large deck was great. only had a few problems.the cleaning wasn't good at all. needed more lighting on deck. house really needed to be srayed! had ants in kitchen when we arrived.the spiders were really bad in the house and on deck.lets not forget the nats.other than that we had a wonderful time!!!!
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
