This newly renovated Greenwich Village apartment occupies the full second floor of an historic building, and offers charming details and authenticity along with modern amenities. The space features a fully furnished living/dining room, a library alcove off the living room with a chaise, and a raw studio space with exposed brick and steel shuttered windows.

The apartment is spacious and sunny all day long. The master bedroom has a queen size bed. The second bedroom has two twin beds. The studio space can be used as an additional living room, workspace, or sleeping area (sofabed). There is highspeed wireless internet (Wi-Fi) and satellite TV.

The apartment is located on West 8th Street near 5th Avenue. It was home to the famous Eighth Street Bookshop in the 60's and 70's. Located just steps from Washington Square Park, the West Village, SoHo, tons of restaurants, bars, and shopping. Nearby subways include the B/D/F/V and the A/C/E.

  • I stayed here with my three sisters in November 2009. We could not have been happier! I immediately tried to book it again for Thanksgiving with my family but they were already booked. It's a great apartment, very comfortable and open, and really well located for the subway, walks to highline park, great nightlife, shopping, and restaurants. I wish I was heading back there today!

  • Brillaint apartment very spacious, beautifully decorated and immaculate, much better then a hotel room. Very close to some great restuarants, bars and shops. The village is the place to stay whilst in New York, charming, friendly, funky, chic and cool.You won't be dissapointed

  • Fabulous apartment!!!!! Gorgeously decorated, immaculately clean and totally spacious. With it's huge studio, it was more like a house in the middle of NYC! Great location. Walk to everything, great gourmet market around the corner, restaurants, boutiques and parks all a short walk away. The owner responded to every question immediately and met us at the door to give us a quick run down of the apartment and the locale. We stayed for a week with 2 young children in July and the air-conditioning provided cool relief after each day of exploring. The studio became their playroom whilst we relaxed on the chaise lounge and the view out the rear windows were quintessentially NYC. We loved it, and will definitely return asap. Thank You!

  • A wonderful quiet respite in the heart of the city. We just returned from 6 days in NYC and the trip was made all the better by staying in this great apartment. Spacious doesn't begin to describe it. We didn't even use the back room which is bigger than most apartments in New York. A second floor walk-up with 2 comfortable bedrooms (one with a queen, the other with 2 twins). Unlike most places we've stayed at in NYC, we actually looked forward to heading back "home" to rest, take a break, or sleep at the end of a busy day. The location is great, with a subway stop literally at the end of the street, great restaurants within blocks, and an amazing grocery store (Citarella) just around the corner to pick up breakfast foods, snacks, and fresh bread. Walked to SoHo and Tribecca no problem. Well worth it. When was the last time you told everyone how great your place was when you were in New York?
