Owner's Map of Dingle

Murreigh has a very special place in my heart. My father comes from Murreigh and as a child I spent every summer holiday here staying with family. I remember spending a great deal of time at the old forge watching the blacksmith at his work, it was fascinating.

I also remember my dad would ask a local farmer for a donkey or pony so i could spend my days happily riding around the village and down on the beach. No saddle or bridle just an old sack on its back and a old rope made into a bridle. Equipment was very basic and simple but so was life in those days.

The children would meet at the local hall for the ceili, we would dance all the old jigs and reels while a local band played. We had so much fun, the hall was always full of local children and visitors.

From our house in the village I can actually see my Grandads cottage, I remember visiting him as a child, I couldn't have a conversation with him because he only spoke Gaelic, the only English he knew was hello and goodbye!

I only have great memories of Murriegh and the Dingle area, I hope if you decide to visit here you will also go away with special memories of a beautiful place and wonderful friendly people.

A Wonderful Time in Dingle!

We spent a great week in this lovely house, enjoying many beach walks and visits to Dingle town. Our daughters also enjoyed their horse rides around the area, especially on the beaches. We found the property to be immaculately presented and well equipped with everything you could wish for. Dingle town is lovely to visit, lots of pubs with live music, excellent food and friendly service. A great break away from it all, hopefully we will be back!

a Great time in Dingle

This was the perfect house for our week in Ireland. There were 4 adults, and we felt the house would have easily accommodated 6: it is very spacious. Everything about the place was up-to-date and convenient. Most exciting was that it had a washer and dryer that actually work as U.S. spoiled folks expect! The kitchen was so well equipped that we felt immediately right at home. The bedding was perfect and the furniture comfortable. Minor issues were immediately resolved by the in town agent, Maureen, and we found her to be helpful, charming and attentive. Even more importantly the location was ideal. We were far enough from the hustle of Dingle Town to feel a part of the small, local community, but close enough for ease of shopping and eating out. It was simple to get to the beach and to walking trails, the local pubs were lovely, friendly and had excellent food. The Dingle peninsula is easy to get around and there is plenty within easy drive of the house to entertain everyone....good golf, lovely walks, historic sites, good shopping...couldn't think of a thing we were lacking. Peter is easy to deal with and maintains a perfect vacation home!

Just a quick note to say a huge thank you for one of the best holidays we have ever had. Our first trip to Kerry, indeed Ireland, and certainly not the last. The house made our trip. Amazing, wonderful, high quality, spotless are some words to describe it. Huge grins came across out faces the moment we stepped in and never left whilst we were there. It is such a homely place and ever little last detail, from extra pillows to shopping bags along with the bottle of wine and goodies on arrival put all of us at ease and into relaxing and holiday mode immediately. We have traveled around the UK a lot with the children, using different holiday villas, and we have never ever come across one as good as yours. Our two children loved it - the garden, DVD's and a slow cooker for Irish stew were highlights when we asked last night for their opinions. Oh and of course the beaches and shell collecting! And as for the views...looking across the bay from the deck and conservatory is just awesome. The quality of light and peace is breathtaking. With so much more of Ireland to explore, we'll be back next year. We will thoroughly recommend your house to our friends and family and wish you every success in future rentals. Please also pass on our sincere thanks to your housekeeper. It really was spotless!

Having spent a month in this well-equipped, well-placed, and well-positioned home, I feel I can adequately review its charms. The home is close to beaches, golf , and most importantly a myriad selection of hiking trails. The views from the many windows are glorious and ever-changing with cloud formations and sunsets. The interior of the house is spacious and open affording privacy for up to 6 guests. Management was superior and accommodating. My family and I had a marvelous time. I could not recommend this venue higher. GO

We had a great time first holiday we could say we did not want to go home . The house was fantastic a brilliant peaceful setting and so close to everything. The children loved it and I found it very comfortable I could relax in it just like at home The weather was ok very mild in the south you would think it should be cooler being near the Atlantic some showers however we got to the beach every day and done a lot over the week. The books on the landing were a great idea every thing was perfect we will certainly be back . Thanks for everything.

My family stayed in this lovely home for a week at the beginning of September. The house was wonderful, newly built and with many conveniences. The rooms are large and comfortable and the view over the bay is beautiful. It is about four miles from Dingle town. Many fine walks and sites abound just out the door and everything on the peninsula is an easy drive. The owners were very accommodating and responsive. I would highly recommend this home.
