This is an older home, nicely decorated for your vacation. It is located right on the Deschutes River in Bend, Oregon. Located just minutes (3 mi) from the nearest grocery, Downtown Bend and 25 minutes from some of the finest Snow skiing and Snowboarding on the West Coast, Mt. Bachelor. The view from the home is spectacular of the Cascade Mountain range and you can walk down to the Deschutes River behind the home for some great fishing and exploring. Wildlife is just outside your front door. Quiet neighborhood, large lots, wooded with Tall Ponderosa Pine. The river side of the house is all windows and creates a wonderful atmosphere of nature, but only minutes from Downtown Bend and minutes to the Airport.

Year Purchased: 1968
I am a single Mom that rents out my Mother's home for the sole purpose of sponsoring my daughter in Ski Racing the Downhill through-out the US. She also plays for the USA Hockey team and this home has allowed us to support her endeavors. This is a small cute Older cottage-type home on the Deschutes, nothing fancy, but very well kept up and is set in a marvelous setting of tall Pine trees on the Deschutes River, only minutes from the Old Mill and Downtown, by way of the back road. I came to Bend in 1978 from Napa, CA purchased my first home here in 1988 and fell in love with the area. There is so much here to do in Bend, Oregon in the way of outdoor sports and activities...not to mention the wonderful night life, great restaurants and other Classic adventures, such as the Sister's Nationwide Quilt show,the Sister's Rodeo in June and September,Bend's Winterfest and Octoberfest, the World-wide known Pole,Peddle,Paddle in May and The Cycling Classic or the Cascade Music Festival, held here in the summer months. I live just down the street and this is where I have raised my children, on this beautiful River and in these goreous mountains. I do Designing and large Murals, so you will see some of this work throughout the home. Thanks for checking us out.

Walking to the River is so serene and peaceful. Enjoying wine and the moonlight at nights on the deck. Biking through the neighborhood viewing the wildlife everywhere. I love the raccoons that come out at nighttime. Check out the porcupines and the deer that eat in our back yard...
