Surrounded by breathtaking beauty Ferry Creek was just right for our family of seven to reconnect without distraction. The well designed and decorated space was conducive to our focus on the family festivities. We enjoyed games, old family favorite movies, cooking together, and lots of time to relax and talk on the deck. We brought kayaks and fishing rods for simple fun off the pier. Probably the only thing we wish we had had was a boat to enjoy river sports to the fullest. Pam, the lovely keeper, was great to work with and has provided all the necessary amenities for a delightful care free get away!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

The property is beautifully decorated (the photos on the website do not do it justice) and very comfortable. We found it a quiet, relaxing place at the end of a day sightseeing. The property was spotlessly clean and tidy. The property has no cable TV but it has a VHS video player (with an enormous and varied selection of films available for every age) and a DVD player if you want to bring your own. The landlady lives just opposite and she was incredibly hospitably, helpful and friendly with excellent restaurant recommendations and local knowledge. There is a boat ramp nearby and it's even possible to launch a kayak from the adjacent dock.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.
Owner response: FERRY CREEK GUEST HOUSE is really the ideal place for people with watercraft.............docking alongside the private pier and looking out over the water are two really BIG pluses!!! Our goal to create a serene and beautiful environment is something we personally value in our own travels.............glad to know we are providing this for our guests!!!
