A spectucular view,plenty of wildlife, a beautiful Knotty Pine interior, covered porch, easy access and much more provided us with a wonderful fall vacation. When the ancient persian poet,Omar Kayyham wrote; " A book of verse neath the bough, a jug of wine, a loaf of bread and thou beside me singing in the wilderness--were paradise enow,"he must have had a place like this in mind. In April of 2004, my daughter Carly and I decided to spend Easter at Schreck's cabin. We looked forward to spending time together and new it would be nice. Once we arrived and spent the week there, we realized it was one of our best trips. The cabin is beautiful, clean and cozy and the breath taking views really are stunning. The awesome views, the large deck with porch swing and rockers, the romantiic fireplace in the master bedroom, the garden tub where you feel as if your're floating in the tree tops,the trails that go on forever with new places to discover with each hike, close to Franklin, but secluded in the mountains....these are just a few of the reasons that our family returns to Schreck's Shack every year since 2000!
