I rented Betsey's place for the weekend w/ my 14 year old son and 2 of his friends. We all had a great time. The boys fished, swam, paddle boated and I read and swam and sat in the sun. The house is awesome and has room for lots of people. The boys made a man crib in the downstairs. I had the upstairs and we had plenty of extra room. There was TV and wifi and everybody was happy. Really easy to get to and Betsey was great to work with. We definitely want to go back -for longer next time!

Betsey, I just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful vacation rental this past weekend. Like I said before, my in-laws were vacationing with us along with my sister-in-law and they said that this was the best vacation rental that they have experienced so far. My in-laws sat down by the lake in the shade and watched their grand-daughter spend hours jumping off the dock and swimming. We spent a lot of time having cocktails down by the water and on the lovely deck. It was a perfect spot for my in-laws because it was so quiet and scenic. They were "wowed" by the beauty. I spent hours fishing - catching little perch off the dock with my daughter. Now she wants me to buy her a fishing pole. I told her that fishing is normally not that easy. My sister-in-law and I circled the whole lake in the paddle boat with her picking out the next house that we should buy so they can come again and visit. We spent a lot of time playing board games with the seniors "schooling" us youngsters on how to play certain games. I actually think they were making up the rules as they went along :) Thank You again for a very nice weekend.

Brought my whole family together for dinners, entertainment , and paddeling a boat out on the lake for something extra to do.;swimming also. Beautiful setting on the lake. Accomadations for my mom, my brother and his wife, me and my partner, and my sister with two kids. Private and clean. Games to play provided, plenty of cookware and linnen. Would come back again for another stay...a bit dated and bedrooms a bit tight..Betsy great to work with.

My husband and I live in downtown Seattle and needed a vacation somewhere relaxing. So we, along with a small group of close friends, stayed here for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. Getting to the house was very convienent and easy to find. Once we arrived we were amazed with the beautiful views of the lake with the mountains in the background. The pictures certainly do not do this place justice. The weather was not that great while we were there, but we managed to do a lttle swimming and fishing. We also brought our kayaks and the lake was like glass. Perfect for kayaking. We even spotted a few bald eagles diving down to catch fish. The house is very large and could easily have fit more people than we brought. The fireplace was nice to have during those rainy nights. In case you do stay here and the weather doesn't hold up, the house does have direct tv, wifi, many books to borrow, and dvd's. We definately recommend this house as a perfect getaway from the noise of the city. We hope to stay here again next summer....hopefully when the weather is better.

We rented the lake house because we were visiting Bellingham for our sons wedding. We had family stay with us and the eight of us were very comfortable. The best part of the house was the view and the back porch that faces the lake. The house was clean and when we called Betsy and Chris with questions they were very helpful. We had 3 laptop computers going on the wireless internet which made it very nice for three of us that run small businesses and needed to check our email, etc. The kitchen is a little rustic but had a wonderful supply of nice dishes and utensils. We would rent here again.

This Cain Lake house was the best we've ever visited, from Michigan to Florida to Washington. Typically, such houses have castaway pots, pans, and dishes, but this place was classy enough to serve a queen! We saw a few ducks, but the lawn was completely free of droppings. The best ever lake house, from inside to out, and so many comforts of home; fully equipped kitchen & laundry, comfortable beds and bedding, incredible bathroom facilities. Our family was very comfortable and had easy, quick freeway access to take the 15 minute trip to Bellingham for our son's graduation from Western Washington University. This place ROCKS!

Renters Beware

Beware of these owners! The location of the property is misrepresented. It is not in Bellingham but a 20 minute drive from it. We took excellent care of the property and left it very clean. After we left they acused us of having more people than we had staying in the property and putting foreign objects in the garbage disposal. We did everything they asked and took excellent care of the house yet they refused to return our deposit. In addition, the yard and beach were covered in goose poop! It took hours to clean with a rake and shovel before we could let our children play. Overall, we were very disappointed with our experience with these owners.

Stayed at this wonderful lakefront property for 1 week and didn't want to leave. It was very well equiped for cooking, spacious and comfortable. The deck is a great place to relax and the dock and water access was fabulous. Kids enjoyed swimming and fishing, dog enjoyed sleeping and I enjoyed it all. Close enough to town, shopping, golf and parks. Would recomend for a quiet relaxing holiday.

The house is clean and very accessible from the Bellingham area. Working with Betsey was really pleasant. She responds quickly to any questions you may have. The house was well equipped with anything we needed and the views were fabulous! We had such a great time on the lake it was hard to leave.
