The most charming house in the most charming town in Colorado

Guest: The Family from Ohio (Ohio)
Date of Stay: 08/02/11 Review Submitted: 08/25/11

When our family arrived at this house and opened the front door we all couldn't stop smiling. This place is a family-oriented dream vacation home. The layout is perfect for any size family, it has children's beds upstairs in an area that they'll feel like it's they're own special place, the adults can stay in a separate (quiet) bedroom with a balcony and beautiful views. Everything about this place shows that the owner really cares to make it one of a kind, and to make sure that the guests have everything they need for they're stay. I can't recommend it enough!

Very Cozy and Homey

Angie's place accommodated our 9 family members very well. It was cozy, with games and movies for the young ones, and a well-supplied kitchen for us to make our own meals. Some of us ran the Slacker's Half Marathon and it was nice to have the house just 2 blocks from the finish line. There's free wifi (and some trail map/books) at the public library just a block away. Georgetown itself is full of history and the early expansion into the front range, and it is a good base for outdoor exploring beyond the town, but don't expect much liveliness in the town itself. Even on the summer weekend, I was surprised at dinner time how empty main street got and nearly all the shops were closed. Better to dine in house. No grocery store in Georgetown, Stock up at Denver or Idaho Springs on your way out.

Great House = Home away from Home

Date of Stay: 03/24/11 Review Submitted: 04/10/11

Fantastic location, and so homey and clean! Owner was incredibly gracious, attentive and flexible in assisting with our stay. This home really did have everything....kitchen conveniences, lots of extra towels and linens, games and movies...it was the perfect place to stay for our ski get-away. We will surely return and share this true treasure with friends and family.

Great Family Place

Date of Stay: 02/04/11 Review Submitted: 02/07/11

We are actually still here visiting the library near by and had to write. This place is wonderful...it is large (larger in person than it looks on the site). Home and comfortable....my kids love the games and movies. I love the sleepy little quaint town and skiing in Loveland was great too. I would highly recommend this place! Eat at the Raven while you are here. YUMMY!

Owner response:Perfect timing for this ski trip! So glad you loved the house, we knew you would!!

Love, love, love this house!

This is a great family house filled with movies & board games! We had a great time playing games with our teenage daughters in the evening. We also enjoyed being able to walk to the heart of Georgetown from the house. The kitchen was fabulous, I had everything that I needed, we also BBQ'ed steaks one night on the grill! So much better than being in a hotel for about the same price! We love this house & sincerely hope to come back in the future!

Owner response:Would love to have ya'll back! Looks like my daughter is headed to Tulane next year, so we'll be seeing more of your part of the world!

Great house, great rates, great town

Stayed at this house in Georgetown while in Colorado for a Family Reunion and it was everything we could have hoped for - AND MORE! Very spacious (could probably sleep 8 or more on beds, and 12-15 total) and very cute. It had all the amenities that we needed and more. The owner, Angela Kepler, went out of her way to make sure that we were well taken care of! My 92 year old mother lives in Georgetown, but we felt that having an extra group of adults and kids stay with her would be more than she should have to handle - very glad we came across this great place, and we WILL use it again on our next trip to Georgetown or the surrounding mountain towns and areas. Easily made trips to Frisco, Dillon Lake, Breckenridge, Central City and into Denver. Loved it, and loved the rates and service! Thanks, Angela - it was GREAT!

We stayed at the house back in August, and I've been meaning to come online and comment for a long while. This is a great place, very roomy, and if you have kids, they will LOVE the kid's space on the second floor. We loved everything about this place, and we will definitely go back!

It's a very nice place at incredibly reasonable price! I love this house. It has three bedrooms with a total of 9 beds and some are queen or full size beds. I absolutely love the open kitchen that connects to the living room, which allows the ladies to stay engaged while the guys are in the living room. Will love to come back!

I have rented a house in Georgetown Colorado for various occasions off and on for the past 20 years... and Angie's place was by far the best. She was very response to any contact I made, and her lovely house instantly felt like home when we arrived. I don't think there was one thing we needed that wasn't easily found. The house was very clean, well-equipped, and ideally located for anyone wanting the Georgetown experience. I would highly recommend it, and my family and I will happly return - probably many times.

This was a great place to get away from the city and just relax. We had no complaints and my wife and friends thought it was the PERFECT place! We were able to walk right downtown and hang out a bit. If your looking for a beautiful location in the mountains for friends of family look no further. Plenty of room, games, movies and relaxation. I would highly recommend this place to everyone!

Having left Angie's house in Georgetown, just a couple of days ago, I'm ready to go back. The house was just what both my small immediate and large extended family needed. The house was perfect for the few night that the 3 members of my family stayed there. There was plenty of space to spread out, lots of kids toys and a fenced yard. Angie even left a map showing where the awesome playground was that our son would love - and he did. When the rest of the extended family showed up (all 9 of them) there was still plenty of space. The boys had the attic bedroom and grown-ups the downstairs. It gave us exactly what I had hoped it would, space for us all to relax and enjoy each other. As for working with Angie, she was more than accomodating. I would highly recommend this house to anyone needing to get away from it all.

I had a great stay and have no complaints, only praises for our stay in Georgetown. There is tons of space, much more than I expected, and Angie has everything you could need here, including q-tips in the bathroom, and tea in the kitchen. So, if you forget something, she has you covered! The house is clean and was a very nice place to come back to at the end of the day. It is a short one block walk to Historic Georgetown with cute shops and restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised by Georgetown and the Historic Railroad that runs from there. I would love to come back again.

My family just got back from a great get-away to this fabulous house in Georgetown. The house was perfect for our family (many families met up there for the weekend with three kids) with games, movies, and a very spacious house. There was plenty to do and the price was perfect for us! Everyone found things to do. I would highly recommend the house in Georgetown- it was just far enough away to be a vacation but close enough to get home. We walked to the park with a big playground for the kids and down main street. Seeing all the historic homes was really interesting. The house was clean and had all the necesseties we needed to cook the food we brought. We loved our time up there and hope to go back up again soon!

We always have a great time up at the cottage. Always clean . We love walking around town, riding bikes and walking home from a night out. Very charming and quaint village, but lots of fun stuff to keep you busy. My youngest loves the secret bedroom upstairs.

This is a great location for exploring the mountains of Colorado. There is so much to do that's just a short drive from Georgetown and when your day is done, the house is very comfortable and we felt right at home. Georgetown is also a great town to relax and spend a day shopping, wine tasting (Canyon Winds tasting room), taking the Georgetown Loop railroad or staying during the Christmas festival. The best part is that the house is right downtown, so you don't have to get into the car and look for parking. Everything is within walking distance.
