My family and I stayed at Bluffview cottage in late April coming up from Arizona. The house was very clean, comfortable and welcoming. The views are spectacular from the inside of the house and as well as the yard. We enjoyed sitting and visiting in the gazebo. Hope to make it back soon. Thank you Barb and Larry being so accomodating to us and sharing your lovely vacation home with us. John & CherieRecommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We strive hard to provide a clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated home for you to enjoy on your vacation. Thank you again to John and Cherie for your gracious comments.

Barb, We (myself and 3 girlfriends) felt at home the minute we walked in the door. It was so warm and inviting. Every area was tastefully decorated. You do have the "touch". I cannot described how cozy and comfortabe your place felt to all of us. It was so clean too! We had a great relaxing time, everything we needed was there for us. Those big picture windows and the view of the lake was awesome. We did not want to leave (did you find Linda under the bed?) She just fell in love with the place and we had to drag her out!! We would certainly like to come back again sometime. Thanks for sharing your home with us. Mary L.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

Hello Barbara, I just had to tell you how much I enjoyed your house there and how perfect your place is to have a get together with loved ones! We had the best time and our surroundings were "just right" for the occasion. The view of the lake is wonderful, the house has so much charm and neat atmosphere, and it was all so clean and perfectly furnished and welcoming! I got to use the bedroom closest to the bathroom on the first floor and it was so cute and pretty! But all the bedrooms were so nice and so pleasing to the eye. As were all the rooms. I also loved the sunporch and the huge livingroom and all your flowers and the gazebo! I could have cheerfully stayed there for the entire summer! It was so much fun seeing my sister, niece and our cousins in such a comfortable, attractive surroundings. We talked and laughed walked by the lake and ate out a lot and shopped the nifty stores and watched 2 of your videos and just had a great time in general. I am so grateful to my sister for finding your place and to you for providing it for us! You can bet you'll have lots of word of mouth advertising and recommendations from all of us! Thanks a million! Sincerely, Sheryl B.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 5/5

We had four adult women there for a girls retreat. Barb helped us accommodate my grandmother who is 86. The kitchen has everything you need, even a blender and rice cooker! Barb also called me the day of arrival to ensure I knew it was a very windy day and with instructions on this and that to make everything a breeze. Our stay at this house was amazing. The view of the lake was awesome. There are walking trails right across the street that take you into town and a park with hiking near the house -- we walked to coffee, dinner and cute local shops. Nice place with great touches..... I'd recommend a stay in the area and at this house.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you Natty and family for your most gracious 5/5 rating. Larry and I take great pride and enjoyment out of making your stay at Bluffview as comfortable and enjoyable as we would for our own family. We wish to always provide a 5/5 experience for any and all who stay at Bluffview Cottage.

Myself and three of my BFF's stayed here for a girls weekend! It was the perfect spot! The house was cozy, and had an amazingly well stocked kitchen! Everything from martini and wine glasses (a must on a girls weekend) to a crock pot, blender and all the kitchen utensils in between! We were able to bring in a whole fridge of food (really - how much food do four women really need???) - and only went out once - to Bronk's - for a yummy night out! It was close enough to downtown, that we were able to walk there and back, so we could all enjoy a cocktail, with out having to worry about someone driving! We are hoping to go back in the spring or fall, so that we can enjoy the view of the lake, the gazebo and the outdoor fire pit! My only recommendation - make sure that the youth snowmobile races aren't happening on the lake the weekend you go - makes for a less then peaceful wake up in the morning, or afternoon nap even, since they go ALL day... I would also consider this, instead of a B&B for a trip with my husband - since it is much less expensive, and you have the whole house to yourself! Thanks for the great weekend Barb!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.
Owner response: Jennifer and her friends stayed at Bluffview for a weekend girls getaway in february. Jennifer, we are so pleased that you found the cottage welcoming, comfortable and accomodating and we look forward to your return trip to Bluffview and Lake City.

I arranged a week-end vacation for 4 adult brothers and myself in this clean, quiet little community in southern Minnesota. We were all impressed with the amenities of this cottage and how well the house and grounds were maintained. The gazebo was especially appreciated. We were a walk or short drive from the marina, park, restaurants, and grocery store. A most enjoyable time.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Upon entering through the front door to this BEAUTIFULLY decorated home, you feel like you are given a warm embrace and "welcome home". (But this is even better than home!) It's a perfect get-away, for couples and families alike. And very reasonably priced! My husband and I and another couple stayed a weekend last fall-had the time of our lives! We enjoyed a breathtaking view of Lake Pepin from just about everywhere on this property...while sipping beverages and breathing in the night air in the gazebo-AND-relaxing in the living room enjoying a beautiful fireplace (and cable)and our morning coffee-AND-dining room-AND-from master bedroom-AND-from jacuzzi suite.... Plus you have all the amenities you need to make your stay comfortable. The bonus is the convenience of walking just a few blocks to the beach, launch, restaurants, shopping... Oh, and the drive around Lake Pepin to tour the lovely little towns like Stockholm, etc. We are coming back again, that's for sure!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/5
