The Bahamas Beach House is situated on the best part of the beautiful pink powder sand beach of Spanish Wells, Bahamas with stunning waterfront views of inviting turquoise waters. Stroll one of the most scenic 2 1/2 mile stretches of beach in the Bahamas while enjoying a variety of beach activities. The house comes fully furnished. There are two bedrooms upstairs and a queen sofa bed in the downstairs den. The backyard of the house offers a safe grassed area and sits right on the beach. There is a gas barbecue and patio furniture if you would like to grill your fresh catch and dine outdoors. We provide a double sea kayak and there are three bikes available. There are three well-stocked grocery stores within walking distance. You may also buy lobster locally. Boats are available to rent. You may rent a golf cart or use the House's bicycles to tour the island and visit native quilt makers and straw vendors.
Spanish Wells is a charming and peaceful island where you will escape the throngs of tourists and commercialism. It is not unusual to have miles of stretches of beach to yourself. The locals take pride in their island, whose economy is based on a thriving lobster industry. While you may just want to relax with a book and look out over the stunning view from your beach front, there are many things to do. The Bahamas Beach House is located near great bone fishing flats. You can fly fish or enjoy swimming or shelling on the beach. You will also find terrific reef fishing and snorkeling on the world famous Devil's Backbone Barrier Reef located just a 1/4 mile offshore. There are local fishing and snorkeling guides available or you may rent your own boat for fishing, kayaking and snorkeling excursions. You can explore local uninhabited beaches or try your luck at spear fishing for lobster. A short walk will take you to restaurants serving local delights such as lobster, grouper, etc.

We enjoyed the stay in spanish wells. the people are really friendly. Johnny and his wife are fantastic and lovely people and you can rent a nice boat from them. the house is perfectly located at the beautifull beach, it has everything inside you need! it's the perfect get away place if you have enough of all the rush. spanish wells is a very nice island and the people are extremly friendly. we had so many nice days on the ocean fishing with vic. if you need a nice fishigh guide contact vic , he lives on the 10th street.

We spent 4 weeks here this visit and had a wonderful time again. Our daughters and their families each joined us for a week and can hardly wait to return. The kids rode bikes everywhere without adult accompaniment which was a treat for them. Johnny and Nancy were charming and helpful and we met lots more locals during our longer stay. We already have booked for next winter.

We just spent a week at the house over New Years and had such a wonderful time that we are already planning our return trip! We are 3 generations including two teens and an eight year old and found no shortage of ways to spend our days. The house was roomy and well set up. We like to bake and the kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils you'd need. We used the bikes for extensive explores of the town and harbour and the kayak for venturing out on the water. The house has a good selection of videos and games for relaxing after a busy day of beach walking, shell collecting, reading, and wondering how cold it was back home! We rented a golf cart from Johnny, the awesome caretaker of the house, and went exploring to Russell Island. We also used it for grocery shopping, although the stores do deliver. We decided that the house was on the prettiest section of the beautiful sand beach!

Very well equipped oceanfront house with a very nice bedroom. What you don't find there you don't really need. You feel as being a guest of friends. We loved the nice beach with very warm, clean and shallow water. Johnny the house keeper picked us at the harbour and brought us back again. Take your repellent with you. There are sand bucks and they like you. We where there with our two boys (age of 10 and 13) and they liked fishing at the harbour. Don't look for a good restaurant on the island. You will not find. You have your own barbeque in your beachhouse.

Our family has been to several vacation resorts, but nothing compares to the fabulous vacation we had in April 2009 staying at the Bahamas Beach House! Have you ever picked up a travel magazine and found a picture of a couple on a beach with no one else around and the kids building sandcastles, and then you go there and it's a zoo of party animals and hokey tours? Well, the photos you saw were probably taken just outside the Bahamas Beach House. When we stepped off the ferry and met Johnny, we knew we had come to the right place. Spanish Wells is perfect! It is safe, friendly and absolutely beautiful.The Beach House is clean, quaint and felt immediately like home. Although we are a small family, it could easily accommodate larger groups, and the location...what can I say when it's 34 steps to a white sandy beach with turquoise water that is as warm as a bathtub. I thought I would miss the 'all inclusive' convenience of a resort, but riding bicycles to the store to pick up fresh bread and food, and then cooking for ourselves turned out to be much more fun! Paddling the kayak around the bay was great - we were up close and personal with mantarays and various other sea creatures. It was such a treat seeing nature outside of an aquarium in their own habitat. Johnny was extremely helpful and friendly - he is a wealth of information on anything you need or want to know about the island (note to Johnny: I'm not totally converted to seafood yet but I will be back to let you try again!). The Beach House has air conditioning, but we didn't even turn it on - not due to lack of hot weather, there was plenty of that - but we opened the windows at night and let the breeze from the ocean lull us to sleep - what a treat!! We have never slept better in our lives. We also never used the indoor shower - the outside one is awesome!! The owner has supplied the Beach House with all kinds of movies and games for kids, so if you get tired of the outside (not likely) you can always relax inside. We really didn't want to leave this place - ever. I sent video & pictures over the high speed internet (faster than my service at home) and received so many comments on my facebook of people wanting to know where we were at. Would we go back to the Beach House? In a heartbeat. It really takes a family back to good old-fashioned fun, and the kids on vacation here really seem to embrace the lifestyle. Booking through the owner is safe, easy & convenient - Thanks Dave for everything!!!!!

Our trip was wonderful! We truly enjoyed Spanish Wells and its unique character. The people were friendly and helpful. The beach house was very comfortable, and we loved its proximity to the water. The hammock, bikes, and kayak were great extras. The weather was a little cool, but we had a wonderful time despite the cooler weather. And of course, Johnny was so nice and helpful. We had an amazing time. The house is well furnished, there's everything you need. The House is right on a super quiet and beautiful beach. We did bike tour of the island and you can walk to the grocery.
