Locally known as "Beach 69" this sandy beach is great for swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing. Shade trees nearby. Turtles and mantra rays plus colorful reef fish.

We stayed for two of the best weeks of our life. The place was clean, spacious and very well maintained. Cooking with professional quality appliances was an added plus. The access to the ocean for swimming and snorkling was only five minutes away and a place that we would have felt very comfortable in bringing out grandchildren to. We ate at the Four Seasons restaraunt where the sunset was spectacular and watching two sea turtles swimming around was an added plus. Dinner at Tommy Bahamas in the Mauna Lani shopping center was outstanding and again the sunset was spectacular. Lunch at Don the Beachcomber in Kona was really exciting as a pod of 30 or 40 spinner dolphins came into the cove and put on a show for almost an hour. Sitting on the lanai of the Home and watching the sunset everyevening was an opportunity for us to take close to 50 beautiful pictures. We would definitely recommend this to anyone and would come back in a heart beat.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, families with young children.
