We were purchasing a home in Kauai and found the Cliffs to be A wonderful place to stay while going through the purchasing process. Loved the unit and all if the amenities. We will recommend to all our friends and family.

This condo complex is a great place to be. The grounds are beautiful and the pools & spas are great. The unit is huge with a beautiful corner lanai. It is a bit dated but very clean and the washer/dryer was handy as we got very muddy on our hikes. We will definitely return there.

We stayed the last week of Sept 2011 at this lovely condo in Princeville. The description and photos are exactly as depicted. It is a roomy one bedroom with tropical fans and a delicious cool evening breeze that made the bedroom curtain billow - reminding me of the movie Out of Africa. This was our first experience with renting a condo for vacation and it was really neat to buy fresh fish at the market just a few minutes away and prepare it in the condo. After driving all over Kauai looking for fabulous sunset scenery - we loved just eating our meals on the living room lanai. It affords a 180 degree view of the huge beautiful mountains, tons of tall palm trees, and an abundance of tropical plants and different colored bougainvilla....as well as a patch of blue of the ocean. Mark and Maya have supplied it with everything you need....all you have to do is relax and enjoy. The pool is fabulous surrounded with black lava rocks and waterfalls and the jacuzzi is right in the pool. We saw kids having a ball in the daytime in it and romantic couples at night - Kauai is the perfect place for honeymooners or in our case celebrating a big anniversary. The peaceful serenity of this complex, the condo and the entire island was mesmerizing and intoxicating. It was super duper quiet especially in the evening for sleeping. The tennis courts looked really nice but we didnt end up playing as there are so many different things to do. We did a helicopter ride around the island and a seven hour - catamaran snorkel cruise-both fabulous. We went to a different gorgeous beach each day. If you are into hiking - The Kalalau Trail at the end of the road is the best we have ever experienced - go early -allow several hours and jump in the sea at Kee Beach when your through hiking. Don't forget to pack a lunch as it truly is at the end of the road. Ten minutes down the road in Hanalei town is Kalypso Restaurant-we had the coconut shrimp and crab quesadillas and they were yummy. Skip the Fish Taco place in Hanalei and head a litttle south to Anini Beach - go all the way til you get to the lavendar lunch wagon and order the chili salad plate-its organic vegetarian and fabulous-we went TWICE!! Anini is great for snorkeling and the huge sea turtles swim right up to you to check you out! Have a ball....we sure did!!

We have just returned from our trip to Kauai where we spent 2 weeks, staying at Mark&Maya's place. We had a great experience which was definitely enhanced by our very comfortable accommodation. As it can be seen by the photos the furnishing is simple yet very functional so you have all that you need without to have to bare somebody else s taste preferences. The condo is well maintained, clean and bright, surrounded by green. The rooms are very big, so are the bathrooms attached to them - I would say plenty space for 4 people. The lanai next to the leaving room is very big and is a place you can spent lots of your awaken time.The atmosphere at the Cliffs Complex is peaceful and relaxing. For the people who are more active there is a tennis court, great swimming pool, there is a playground for the youngsters as well. The management of the complex provides activities overview every Monday accompanied by a ruffle for the activity enthusiast, where you can get a free participation for one person in one activity - Napali Coast Boat trip, luau, river kayaking, etc. The Cliffs provide as well yoga classes, relaxation programs, stand up paddling, free library and who knows what more as a complex entertainment. Another huge plus is that the owners of the Condo are really pleasant and easy to deal with, plus they do their best to accommodate their guests needs. Thank you, Mark&Maya! In sum - if I have a chance for another Kauai getaway, I will definitely check if this place is available!

Comfortable Accomodations in Paradise

My wife and I stayed in this condo for 2 weeks in January, 2011. The condo was just as advertised. It is well cared for, clean, and well appointed. It is a 2nd floor end unit. The ocean can be glimpsed from the lanai on the seaward side off of the living room. The 2nd lanai off of the bedroom has a view of the resort's putting green and mountains and has awesome morning sun. The owners, Mark and Maya, have even upgraded the TVs recently so there is now a large flat screen TV in the front room and another flat screen in the bedroom. Everything is functional in the condo. It is nice to have a washer, dryer, and dish washer. We both do some work while on vacation so I was particularly happy with the huge bedroom where we set up our laptop. The owners have set up their own wireless network which we were able to connect to easily. The wireless connection was fast and without trouble. The Cliffs, where the condo is located, is one of the best known resorts in Princeville and has a friendly, efficient staff. The pool and BBQ facilities are well maintained and we enjoyed BBQing many evenings. Parking is right outside the entrance. It was very easy to arrange for the rental. All the arrangements were made by email and a simple rental agreement was sent through the mail. The owners were informative and helpful. We have been coming to Kauai for nearly 20 years and hope to return for 20 more. We will not hesitate to stay at this condo if it is available. This is a great place. Bill & Sharon from Alaska

Delightful and well appointed condo

We stayed at this condo for 4 nights in July, 2010 and had the most wonderful experience. The condo is located within the well maintained Princeville complex. You can see the ocean from the lanai. Beautiful trees and well maintained lawns make it a picture perfect setting. The condo itself is very well appointed and has everything a family needs - utensils, dinnerware, beach towels and even books and DVDs. The condo is clean and well maintained. The overall reservation process was a breeze with Maya and Mark being very easy to work with. Contact was through email followed by sending the contract & check via US Post. It was a hassle free transaction. In short, a wonderful place to stay in beautiful Kauai. Defintely recommend and would surely stay again.

This one bedroom condo which I enjoyed for the month of Sept. 09 exceeded my expectations. The condo was more comfortable, spacious, and beautifully furnished than photos show. The master bedroom is very large and has wonderful views, the living room is comfortable and has great mountain views, there's a full kitchen, large refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer. The two lanais are perfect for viewing outstanding sunsets and enjoying meals. Outside is a BBQ great for grilling fresh local fish. The brand new pools and spas complete with lava rock waterfalls are wonderful. I appreciated the wireless Internet access. The condo is well appointed and Maya and Mark have been conscientious to keep it in great shape and have made sure everything needed or desired is present. Charming Hanalei is a 5 minute drive north and beautiful Anini beach is a short 5 minute drive south. What a fabulous vacation retreat. I have vacationed on Kauai for the last ten years and rented many other places. This condo is perfect for a long stay. I am in love with your condo, the island, and the people of Kauai. Maya and Mark were a pleasure to deal with. I've told many friends and colleagues about this condo and have every intention of returning as soon as possible. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else on the north shore.

we have nothing but good things to say about the place. it was clean, spacious and had such good energy. the condo complex was very quiet and had lots of green. everything was within a few miles so it was very convenient. thank you so much for the owners. it was such a pleasure to getting all of the communication. (you even let us stay a few more hours longer for the check out ;) staying your place made our trip even more special. i will use this place for our next kauai trip for sure!
