  As most of the reviews mention, its owners like Hugh that make vacationing in rental properties such an easy, fluid experience. We had a minor issue that wasn't even impacting our vacation all that negatively and Hugh - as prompt as could be - was all over it and even went out of his way to extend our trip an extra day. And at a house like this, that couldnt have been a better deal! We had two infants and a 3 year old amongst 7 adults and this house was perfect for everyone. Its in a quiet cove off the lake and was very peaceful. The in law suite in the basement was nice for the couple without children as they didnt have to hear all the commotion all the time if they didnt want to. I'd recommend this house or any house that Hugh owns to anyone who asks!

  I've rented multiple times from vrbo and it's people like Hugh who give them a good brand. This place was as advertised. Hugh was both accessible and flexible with our arrangements which was appreciated. Well appointed/managed property.

  The house was used for a family Thanksgiving vacation. Truely enjoyed the expansive porch on the main level with large plasma TV and Green Egg cooker. Bedrooms were roomy and we had plenty of space for the young and the older children. Very quiet neighborhood at this time of the year. The Lake was very low as we had been told it would be but the Hot Tub and firepit provided plenty of outdoor fun. Our group of 16 enjoyed the stay and appreciated the owner's response to any questions we had.

  This was an ideal setting for our small staff retreat. Restaurants are close enough for variety, and the home is well-appointed, large, with all the amenities. The water was getting low, it rained 2 days -- but the leaves are starting to turn, and the hot tub was very relaxing! We could not have chosen a better place, a short distance from Montgomery and Auburn.

  We had a great time. The house is wonderful with plenty of room. The split level is really nice when you have young kids also. The hot tub felt great and we loved being able to step out the front door and go boating whenever we felt like it. It was nice and quiet also.

  The layout of this home was perfect for our family. If anyone has teenagers or young adults then this would be great for you. The second level has 3 bedrooms, a full bath, a half kitchen, small living room and a large portch that gives them their own space to hang out and the main floor for the adults, or as our children say, the parents, their own space. Our children are all in there 20's and they really enjoyed the 2nd level space. We also enjoyed the 3rd level, that we nicknamed "The Bungalow" as it was its own private get away from everyone with its own entrance. My husband enjoyed cooking and learning about the Green Egg cooker and now wants to buy one. The owners are great and responded to my emails and phone calls in a reasonable time. Also, the cleaning people were extremely nice, helpfull and also with giving us good shopping directions. The house is a good location on the lake with Chimney Rock close by as well as Kowaliga Maina and restauant.

  Fabulous home!! We had 6 girls between the ages of 10 - 15 and the seperate living areas were handy. The owners are easy to work with and ready to assist with any "glitch". We will definitely stay in this house our next vacation at Lake Martin.

  This was our 2nd time to stay at this lovely lake home and we hope to be able to stay every year! The home is in an ideal location for Lake Martin and has so many amenities. It is very spacious and decorated beautifully! We had the pleasure of meeting the owners and they are very helpful and accommodating. We would highly recommend staying at this lovely home!
