Year Purchased: 1995
I spent the first 14 years of my life in Baltimore. Maryland. We were always around the waters of the Chesapeake Bay and Ocean City Maryland. I always loved the water, the beach and all the sights, sounds and smells. My family moved to Atlanta, Georgia when I was 14 and I spent 33 landlocked years there. We always vacationed to Hilton Head, Daytona Beach, Jekyll Island, and Panama City. I always wanted a beach house on the water and my dream came true. My home will take your breath away when you walk up to the first floor of the main living area. It is all about the view. This home accommodates adults guests and is not children friendly.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
I wanted a destination that was an easy 5-6 hour drive from Atlanta. I really loved the emerald green waters and sugary white beaches of the gulf. After years of searching from Gulf Shore, Alabama to St. George Island, I found a lot on the gulf on the east end of Pensacola Beach and built a custom designed home that looks like it should be in Coastal Living Magazine. The Historic City of Pensacola, surrounded by the world's most beautiful beaches is the oldest settlement in the USA. Pensacola is also known as the city of Five Flags and is tucked away on the panhandle of Northwest Florida. The coastal communities of Pensacola and Pensacola Beach are located 50 miles west of Destin/30A.
The Unique Benefits of this House
This home is not SMALL children friendly and accommodates adults and business clientele. Most family and friends that visit me on Pensacola Beach want to sit on the deck or sit by the waters edge. It is a retreat and a treat to spend time here. The house is on the far east of the island and there are not many people at this end. You will find some surfers, fisherman and sunbathers. The unobstructed view goes on for 12 miles to the east and unlimited going south from every room in the house. The sun rises are spectacular in the summer and sunsets in the winters are multicolored. There are few clocks in the house and only one landline phone for emergencies. This is not your typical beach rental. Luxury Sheets and towels and white fluffy robes in all 4 bedrooms. Generous supplies in all the vanities. Hang up the cell phone and enjoy the ride.sitting on the deck drinking coffee or a frosty drink. It literally is a "Sanctuary" for most of my friends. Unpretentious and low key. You won't ever want to leave.
