We are located 8 blocks from world famous Venice Beach, a 10 minute walk. Next door to the property is a park with playground equipment and large green space.
The rental is a fully equipped 2 bedroom duplex. We have tried to think of everything you could possibly need for your visit. Upstairs is the master bedroom with a king size bed (very comfy), en suite with a jacuzzi tub for two with shower facilities. There is a balcony off this bedroom and a roof deck which is lovely for a morning cup of coffee up among the tree tops.
Downstairs, we have a fully equipped kitchen. All the cooking tools, plates, cups, pots and pans etc. you might need. There is a dishwasher, microwave, stove and fridge and a breakfast bar to sit at as well. The kitchen opens to a lovely patio which many guests have enjoyed for the morning sun. The patio also has a gas barbeque. There are lots of wonderful restaurants in the area and an amazing Whole Foods grocery 1 blocks away. We have a washer and dryer for your use in the rental.
The living room / kitchen is an open plan. The cable flat screen TV / DVD / VCR is located here. We have an entertainment cabinet with puzzles, games, videos, DVD's, books, for your use. A futon couch makes into a double bed which sleeps 2.
The second bedroom has a trundle bed. This can be made into a queen bed or 2 twin beds depending on your needs. Next door to this room is the 2nd bath with shower. We provide all linens, hair dryers, beach toys, beach towels, 2 boogie boards. We also have 2 bikes for your use, more can be rented at the beach.

4 NIGHTS HERE WAS NOT LONG ENOUGH. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PROPERTY IS POSITIVE, LOCATION, COMFORTABLE,CLEAN AND GREAT HOSTS. WOULD LOVE TO RETURN AND STAY LONGER TO EXPLORE ALL THAT VENICE BEACH HAS TO OFFER.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

I grew up in Hermosa Beach -- just down the beach a ways from Venice -- so I know the area pretty well. Alice and David have done a fantastic job in setting the place up for a delightful break. We made use of the outdoor BBQ and the bikes -- all of which worked well. The location is just fantastic. It's easy to get out to other areas of Los Angeles since you are just off Lincoln Blvd. and within minutes of the Santa Monica Fwy. You can walk down to the beach in 10-15 minutes as well as to Santa Monica's Main St. Check out the wonderful Coffee House around the corner on Rose St. I fell in love with their "bitch's brew" dark roast.Did you find this review helpful? Its a amazing place to stay. I never rented a house/flat before. I'll do it again for sure. Its a good area. Really quiet. Slept really well. The beds are so comfy. You got everything you want. Shops just around the corner. Beach just a small walk or you can take the bike. What else do you want? I will come back!!!!!! Alice, thank for the bottle of wine. Great choice!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this vacation rental. It is spacious, cheerful, well equipped, and conveniently located. It is within easy walking distance of stores and restaurants, yet feels secluded. The patio provided relaxing interludes between beach, boardwalk, and shopping fun. It is clean and welcoming, and the two bedrooms and baths separated from each other provided lots of privacy. We even hosted a barbecue for family members living nearby, and there was plenty of room and utensils for all of us. We will definitely make a return visit the next time we are in LA.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My family stayed here for spring break and fell in love with it. It is a great location with Whole Foods right across the street and the Venice Beach boardwalk about a 15 minute walk. There are many wonderful restaurants nearby and the neighborhood was quiet and friendly. The home is very clean and is well equipped. (The only exception to this was that it only offered a press coffee maker.) What we especially loved was the owner's attention to detail and her efforts to truly welcome you into her home. Upon our arrival, we were treated to a wonderful bottle of wine waiting for us on the counter. A book full of brochures and menus of local businesses was also provided. Alice, the owner, sent us an email prior to our arrival making personal recommendations of her favorite restaurants, shops in the area. It is always nice to get a recommendation from a local. She also leaves you very detailed instructions for all of the equipment, electronics, etc in the home. What a godsend that is for an electronically challenged person like myself! We really enjoyed the outside patio area with the barbecue and we definitely took advantage of the extensive VHS/DVD library. There were some very fun old classic movies we enjoyed. We had a wonderful time at this cheerful, clean and well-appointed home. The apartment has everything you need - we especially appreciated the pack and play and stroller. Perfect for families. The playground right behind the house is a plus. Before arriving we were worried about having difficulty with the street parking, but we had no trouble finding a great spot right near the house every night. My friend and I stayed here for a week's vacation in February. We found the property just as described and photographed. It was a short, 15-minute walk to the northern end of Venice Beach, which was fantastic. It's also near Santa Monica. The owners are very hospitable and even stopped by when we arrived to see if we needed anything. Overall, it was a great vacation and a great place to stay. We are even considering staying here again next year!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

This property served us so well during our visit in LA. The location is perfect: minutes away from all the cafes, bars and restaurants, Whole Foods just around the corner. The beach and the trendy Abbot Kinney strip is 15 minute walk. While in Venice we barely drove. The house is very nice and big and comfortable with two main bedrooms and two bathrooms. About the owner: David and I have lived for several years in Venice. I'm a California native and David joined me from England in 2003. We both lead busy lives but have been so happy in running our new Vacation Rental business. We have met wonderful people from all over the world. We love Venice and hope you will too. You will never be bored in Venice. You can veg out or be in a whirlwind of vacation activity and you never know what movie star you might see! Venice weather is great too!
Why the Owner Chose Venice Beach:
We built our vacation rental in Venice Beach because we love it here! Venice is a unique community with lots of interesting people, artists, musicians and just friendly Californians in general. We are a community in the midst of gentrification but trying to keep our ethic past intact. What's not to like, 20 min. into the heart of LA and a 10 min. walk to a beautiful beach. Weather you can't beat!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Venice Beach is the 2nd most visited location in Los Angles, Disneyland being the first. We have about everything you'd want to do. The beach, and all the activities that entails. We have lots of museums, tennis, golf, shops and of course the world famous Venice Boardwalk with plenty of street performers, shops and restaurants. Biking is a wonderful way to get around Venice and we have 2 bikes for your use as well as 4 boogie boards and sand toys. The Santa Monica pier is just north of us about 2 miles. Santa Monica has some amazing shops, restaurants and movie theaters. Third Street Promanade is a favorite for outdoor dinning, street performers and shopping. This is 3 blocks from the pier. We have a good bus system with a stop 2 blocks from the rental. This is an easy way to get to many sites in the LA, Santa Monica, Marina Del Rey, Culver City area. There is a 30 mile bike trail that starts just above Venice and goes to Redondo beach. This is a great place to skate or bike and people watch. Who knows who you will see? A wacky street performer or a Hollywood movie star. We have lots of wonderful places just within walking distance of our property, such as Whole Foods grocery, Thai massage, a park with playground equipment and large green space, great restaurants and lots of shops and coffee houses for just hanging out.
