Owner's Profile
Owner Description
A Boston transplant, I started my sojourn towards Ogunquit as a vacationer - ultimately the call became too strong and in 1985 we moved to Maine permanently. I purchased this home to house my real estate practice, Ogunquit River Properties, where I listed and sold many hospitality properties in the area. In 2010, we also acquired the Seacoast Motel, on the Ogunquit/Moody line. I still use my 25 yrs+ experience in this market to list, sell and consult, particularly in hospitality properties.
Why the Owner Chose Ogunquit
While adding a few contemporary necessities such as air conditioning, we have strived to preserve many of the original features. As a private home with great parking and a small yard, it is ideal for large families or special occasion uses, such as the beautiful wedding held there last year, where the guests had a private caterer come in and set-up a small tent and sitting area (for 30). An easy walk to the beach, town and we will consider your small, well-behaved dog (no cats, though), due to allergy issues.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this cottage and we are still equally impressed. The location is perfect for getting to spots in both Ogunquit and Wells, and it is uniquely peaceful and quiet. I especially loved the back deck and a great omelet restaurant right next door for breakfast. The hosts responded within 5 minutes when we had a question. The hosts really go above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. This house has a unique history - and even has an old fashioned claw foot tub in the bathroom. There are also two huge bedrooms upstairs besides the two on the first floor. There is a handicap access ramp going up to the back deck, and a flat step into the house. We have definitely become regular customers of our hosts. (Rich & Teddi from Manchester, CT
