PTIVATE - WATER FRONT - BOAT SLIP The Lodge at Strayhorn Cove is located on beautiful Lake Tenkiller in the Cookson Hills of Oklahoma. Rustic elegance is the best way to describe this one of a kind home. High vaulted ceilings, huge wood burning fireplace, large game room along with themed bedrooms set this home apart from the rest. Outside, there are 3 huge decks with lots of patio furniture and is a favorite place to visit. (On a dark night you can even watch a satellite go across the sky.)

There is a short walk (1 minute) down to the water. The marina is just across the cove where you can rent party barge or ski boat. Watch for white tail deer to cross the lawn in the early morning or at twilight. Come to a place where the world turns slower and life is simple.

                In addition to all your favorite things to do at the lake (swimming, boating, fishing, scuba, sailing or just skipping a rock accross the water) there are so many other things. Tenkiller State Park has a nature center that show off our wildlife and other critters form possums to rattle snakes. They also provide a playground and swimming pool. Peek-a-bo petting zoo is only a couple miles away if the kids want to get up close and personal with a goat. For the adult there are 5 golf courses with in a 20 min drive. Tahlequah holds a vast number of Cherokee Indian attractions from a native village to a new CASINO. Northern Oklahoma State Univ has 2 different musicals held each night. Vian and Gore host several antique shops and tea room. And there is always JUNK in the TRUNK ( no telling what you will find there) at Big Daddys Resturant by the dam. You'll always find good food too. There are lots of four wheeler/motor cycle/bide trails to ride but you might have to ask a local where they are. Walking trails are all around the lake. Bird watching is great here too. Pelicans, eagles, loones, geese, ducks of all kinds and then there are all the little ones I dont know the name of. When all else has been done, just set back and look at our lake. The 80 foot rock bluffs are as amazing as the ability to see rocks 10 feet under water. I make a living building luxury log style cabins on the lake along with selling prime lake view lots. I have been married 33 and have 2 wonderful kids. We are small town America with basic values and home town pride. We will treat you like family.
