The house is in front of the sea, the garden gate is on the road. The house is one of the oldest houses in Stromboli; it was a fisher’s house. It is on two floors with garden and patio, but only the first floor is rent. There is also another house in the garden, where we keep the boats.
On the first floor there are a fully furnished kitchen, 5 bedrooms, and three bathrooms and a huge covered patio in front of the sea where to have breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The garden is all around the house. From the house both the volcano and the small island of Strombolicchio, which was the original volcano, are visible. Stromboli town and the harbour are at walking distance, but there are cafe also quite near the house.
Stromboli is a magic island, the name of the island comes from the name of the volcano “Stromboli”, the volcano spit every 15 minutes, but it is not dangerous. In fact this phenomenon is called Strombolian eruption, because the same pattern of eruption is maintained from at least 2000 years. Visiting the top of the volcano is an incredible adventure.
Please note that to travel to Stromboli there are different ways - either with the hydrophoil from Napoli Mergellina Harbour, or with the sheep from Napoli Harbour, or with the helicopter from Reggio Calabria, or with either the sheep or the hydrofoil from Milazzo (or from Messina). Another alternative is with the speed boat from Palermo.

Why the Owner Chose Stromboli Island
I have been to Stromboli since my infancy, and really love the island, is the most beautiful island in the world. Then went back with my children, but renting a house. I was looking at this house as the house of my dreams, and luckily in 2005 the owners decided to sell it and I got it!!
The Unique Benefits at this House
It is on the sea, the view is wonderful day and night. During the day you can look at strombolicchio, at the beautiful boats, at the volcano, take the sun in the garden, in the nights you can look at the stars laying on a long chair in the garden, you can see the volcano spitting fire. Though, the house is very central and all the activities are reachable in few steps, sailing, snorkeling, hiking to the volcan, shopping in the small town of Stromboli, buy capperi or shells and lots of other things typical of the island. Further renting a boat from Paolo, who lives close, you can visit the other island or go to Ginostra and make a tour of the island. On the night there are tours and dinner in front of the "sciara del fuoco".

This is truly one of the best vacation spots imaginable. Perfectly located with views of the sea, wonderful outdoor terrace living space, old world charm and steps away from the beach ( deep blue Mediterranean water perfect for swimming). In addition the village is beautiful - picturesque with winding streets, beautiful views, unspoiled by tourism. This would all be enough to recommend it but in addition there is the magnificent volcano which you can witness erupting from a beautiful terrace restaurant or trek to the top. This is a unique and wonderful place - truly memorable.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

I came to this house with my wife and two children age 12 and 16. The house is very spacious and has a beautiful and very well kept garden, that hides you from the outside. What was most impressive however was its location; sitting on the porch you had a breathtaking view of the sea and felt you were alone in the island, even though the house is right on the beach. My kids had a great time as they could enjoy all sorts of watersports found only walking distance away from the house. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing, yet entertaining holiday.
