The beach house on Big Lake Carnelian is the perfect getaway on a lake. The cabin sits very close to the water with two large picture windows looking over the lake. You truly feel like you are on the water. The beach itself is the great feature. Large sandy beach with lots of room for play, water toys or family members to look on. Big Lake Carnelian is one of the cleanest lakes in the state with beautiful blue water. Walleye fishing is an additional perk on the lake. Excellent fishing in winter or summer.
The cabin itself has been decorated in bright summer colors with a mix of the old cedar walls. Fireplace indoors is a great addition as well as newer appliances in the kitchen. The extra large deck with pergolas and several dining areas offers direct views to the beach and lake. A large shade tree going through the deck also offers the shade option. You need to see this place to appreciate the relaxing beauty equivalent to the lakes "up north", with the benefit of being close to such an awesome town as Stillwater, Minnesota.

Why the Owner Chose Stillwater
Big Lake Carnelian is a fabulous, clean, clear lake with great swimming and beach. The cabin is quaint and just the right size. We also love the Stillwater area.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Feeling like you are up north and being so close to the Twin Cities is the best. Not having to drive 4 hours to be on a truly clean, clear lake is too good to be true. We have enjoyed many family gatherings on the beach and deck area and can't get enough.

We rented with another couple and could not have been happier. Beautiful location, beautiful interior, so pleased with a full kitchen, loved going out in the canoe. Such a wonderful, relaxing vacation. This was our first time ever renting someone else's property and the owner was really easy to work with. We'd really love to make this an annual tradition!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Thank you so much for a great weekend! The weather was perfect and so was the beach house. My mother inlaw loved it and did not want to leave!! The canoe was great, the big windows, A/C key, dishwasher, blender for my daughter who just got braces on. Great beach area, bonfire pit with marshellow skewers, terrific fireworks!! My son enjoyed a great 16th b-day here. It will be one to remember. So nice and close to the cities. The Tyler Family
