Our home features a unique design that allows each room to have a mountain view. Every room has WIFI and all bedrooms have private full baths and a TV in each. Our home is on a large 2 acre lot so you are not packed in with other homes. We only have one neighbor in site.
Access to our home is by a double drive, one to an upper area where you can load and unload directly into our home, the lower area has more parking and has access by the stairs. There is no steep drive to reach our home!
All furnishings and the hot tub were new in 2009. Our location is just 5 minutes from the best golf course in the area and only 10 minutes from Cades Cove! We have wildlife that you can view right from our large deck!

Why the Owner Chose Townsend
We love Blount County and Townsend! Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg can be fun to visit for the day, but then we are always ready to head home to Townsend. With less traffic and tourists, you are actually "in" the mountains, not just looking at them! There are so many interesting shops and vendors from the usual tourist shops to woodworkers and dulcimer makers! Cades Cove and the National Park are only 10 minutes from our door. Avoid the crowds and enjoy some of the best hiking in the park from the Townsend Entrance!
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
We love having lunch on Saturday at the Riverview Restaurant and enjoying the free live music. Or a gourmet lunch at Sister Cats then touring the Woodworking Shop next door looking for a unique item for our home. Taking a hike in the Elkmont Area enjoying the former homes of the Appalachian Club. Cades Cove at dusk to look for bears, or driving from the Cove over Rich Mountain (if you have the correct vehicle). Visiting the Greenbrier School or the Walker Sisters Home is also a great afternoon hike. Travel to Abrams Falls is a great hike with a wonderful falls at the midpoint. Traveling the Foothills Parkway to the Look Rock Tower is great for views, and the climbing at Look Rock is some of the best in the area. There is so much more, in 17 years I have never run out of things to do in Townsend!

Our Home is owned by 6 of us, 2 married couples and 2 single siblings. Karen and I have been in the adventure and youth business for many years before she started in property management. This is our first attempt at combining our love of the outdoors and travel with vacation property management. Along with my sister and her husband and Karen's brother and his wife we all love the Smoky Mountains and East Tennessee and are excited to share our knowledge with our guests.
