IN 2004, WE BOUGHT THIS STUDIO GIVING OURSELVES THE CHALLENGE OF CREATING A TRULY IMPRESSIVE VACATION DESTINATION IN A SMALL SPACE. OUR GOAL WAS TO INCLUDE ALL THE AMENITIES OF OUR LARGER CONDO BUT AT HALF THE PRICE. OUR GUESTS TELL US WE SUCCEEDED.
Imagine spending your week in a stunningly decorated studio condo, pampered with regular maid service, right on the ocean, and playing in the Caribbean Sea, that is so blue and clear, it takes your breath away. Welcome to MY COZUMEL CONDO Studio 302.
My Cozumel Condo 302 is a wild and funky but, an energetic, coming together of Latin and modern decorating. We have taken the small size of this studio and filled ever square inch with art and amenities in order to provide one or two guests with the best lodging experience, in arguably the nicest condo setting on Cozumel island.
There are reasons why our condos have one of the highest returning guest rates on the island. First is the unique location. If you are considering a condo rental, first ask "is it right on the ocean?" We are located on one of the most pristine shores in Cozumel.
Then you must ask, "What will our seaside recreation area be like?" Many of the recently built condos are essentially huge concrete decks with gorgeous pools. Many condos that have sandy beaches do not have privacy and in Mexico, every citizen can join you at your beach if it is accessible.
Our condo's private shore area cascades down on three levels. There is a pool and sun deck level with a cold water shower, then you step down on either side of the pool to the sand beach where there are two palapas and a pergola.
A unique nautical observation deck extends out into the ocean. From here you enter the ocean by ladder or from the pier. "We snorkeled all over the island but discovered that some of the best snorkeling was right out in front of your condo." wrote a guest.
Our studio is on the third floor, one flight of stairs up from the entrance gate. You will immediately be impressed with the creative lighting giving the feeling of Murano glass. The bath on your right is entirely decorated with a vibrant ceramic tile and has a well positioned shower stall.
Step farther into the space and you will see a cleverly planned galley kitchen- a stove and oven, microwave, under-counter refrigerator, blender, coffee maker, a sink and cabinets that provide the utensils and table-settings to allow you to fix meals if you choose to do so. The condo's first open space has a table for two beneath a stunning, original wall mural of a Caribbean sunset. At night, the table folds down and a Murphy bed (just under queen size) folds out of a fabulously crafted cabinet with "his and her" wardrobes and drawers on either side.
Then you step down into a living area. There are two loveseats opposite the LCD Flatscreen TV and DVD Combo. On the same wall is a large chest to store your suitcases. Finally, you will step though glass doors onto your private balcony with a table and two chairs and a 180 degree view of the Caribbean...from the town of San Miguel to the historic Cozumel marina. Watch the cruise ships depart in the evening and the dive and fishing boats leave every morning.
Calling to and from the States is free and we have wireless internet. We also have a local phone line for your calls for reservations at one of Cozumel's fantastic restaurants. Our zealous maid will clean your place regularly, including your dirty dishes and our agent will answer every question about the Island.
When Mexico decided to provide an ocean retreat for the President, it selected Cozumel as the location. They chose the North Drive for the location. So the President of Mexico is our neighbor to the south.
The North Drive is the exclusive quiet area on the island where luxury condos are being built. If you rent another unit south of San Miguel, your week in Cozumel will be faced with thousands of cruise ship patrons leaving the ships for town and the taxis that follow them.
From our condo you can walk to the central square. It is less than a mile. Or stroll north a couple of miles to our Jack Nicklaus golf course to hit a ball, or enjoy some of the best bird-watching in the Yucatan. This is our location.
However if you are looking for a party condo for Spring Break, do not bother to call. Our condominium prides itself in being a quiet paradise in stark contrast to the noisy night of hotel culture around us. We offer serious discounts for off season and "near to the date" bookings. Why choose less than the best for your vacation?

My husband and I stayed for a week in May with our 4 month old baby. It was perfect. We have snorkeled all over the world and really enjoyed the amazing clarity of the water and amount of fish right in front of the condo. It is also an easy walk to tons of restaurants. I highly recommend this condo for you next vacation!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with young children.

Cantamar 302 was exactly as described and as shown in photos. The view from the deck looking into the crystal clear water is breathtaking. Sunsets are fantastic! The condo grounds are clean and well maintained. We received a phone call and email from the owners just to check on us and make sure everything was going well! We would definitely recommend this condo to friends and relatives. The snorkeling is good right off the condo dock. We also enjoyed going by boat out to Columbia and Palancar reefs for snorkeling.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We loved this little condo. Small but has it all. Best view, nice swiming pool with lots of shade. Very convenient location. The landlord is very sweet and helpfull.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

Small condo in a nice complex and in an awesome location. Listing description is right on the money but photos really don't do the place justice. Actually much nicer than the pictures and has everything you'll want or need. This condo has everything. It was the perfect location at the most amazing spot! It is comfortable and clean with friendly staff and guests. The owner tells you everything you need to know to have the perfect vacation and takes care of your needs. The snorkling in that particular spot right off the balcony is the best on the island. I can't wait to go back! I just got back yesterday and and ready to go back tomorrow. I highly recommend it. This small condo was the perfect thing for a quiet vacation. It is confortable and very pretty. The owners are very nice and helpful. The maids did a great job. The location is close to the city, we were walking there every day. We stayed at this great little condo for 9 nights. From the start it was easy to communicate with Jill the owner. Had the chance to meet her and her husband during our stay and they are just the nicest couple. The condo is perfect for a couple or sister/mother/daughter getaway. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of hot water in the shower, wonderful breeze blows through the unit when you just use the screen doors. The view was perfect, many mornings we watched boats come and go from the marina nearby. The condo was VERY clean, as were the grounds. I have been thinking about the decor since I left, it is perfectly designed, with vibrant colors and art work. Nice pool and beach area, good snorkeling just out front. We felt totally safe at the condo and very much at home. Wifi and free phone calls home were an added bonus. We rented a car for grocery shopping and getting to Caleta for diving. But each day we would return home and park it so that we could walk in to town. It was a nice little walk, very safe and easy. If you are looking for a great little paradise this is the place! My girlfriend and I stayed in this unit for a full week during January of 2012. Beautiful place, great features, private man-made beach, large pool, look and feel of a top-notch resort! I came to Cozumel to go diving at one of the top diving destinations in the World and this condo was the perfect getaway for my stay.... The owners, Jill and Truett are a delight and go over and above to make sure your stay is comfortable. They have literally thought of everything, from the snorkel gear to use right in front of the condo, to the free bottled water that is provided and the wifi and free calls you can make back home, just so you can rub in what a great time you are having! The interior compliments the colours of Mexico, it is a bright and inspiring little Mexican retreat. The view, as you can see from the photos, is exquisite and the sunsets are like a picture postcard, which you can enjoy from your own terrace or from the private beachfront (which I incidentally had to myself everything time I used it). It's a cozy gem of a retreat that I highly recommend to anyone, either staying on their own or as a couple.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

About the owner: Jill and I have spent most of our life in Minnesota or California, though Jill was born in Canada. We owned a 7 room historic Bed and Breakfast for 16 years. It was a terrific business and it taught us several things. One, if your are not constantly upgrading your property, it turns quickly into a "rental". Also, the sense of being at home, comes from the details...we work on the details. Finally, from the linens to the decor, we aim at providing the best. Jill is a nurse although innkeeping has usurped her attention in her professional life of recent years. She works the Medical tent for Iron Man though. She also has an amazing touch for decorating and the condo is her canvas. We have been retired for 3 years. I am on the Board of the American Swedish Institute. Collecting has always been a passion- art pottery, Midwest regional painters, and vintage Lotus cars. The condo came about because we have loved Mexico for years. We spend 3 months there a year. We walk to the golf course or to Starbucks every morning. We feel blessed and love nothing more than hearing from our guests that their stay in our condo was the best vacation ever.

COZUMEL IS COMPLETELY SAFE! A recent survey by a major newspaper declared Cozumel one of the three safest places in Mexico. It is an island, isolated from the violence seen is some parts of Mexico. It is a family community and protected by wealthy Mexican families, as a place to educate their children. We walk any street at any time of the day or night.
Cozumel is one of the most beautiful places on earth. It has not been exploited by hotel culture. It is proudly Mexican and from the weekend Fiestas to the local leaders and citizens, people here love being who they are and where they are.
