We just came back from spending a week at Nancy's Condo in the Elysian and wanted to say the unit was great!!! It had everything a family of 4 could need from a great rolling cooler to take with you on trips to St. John's or Magen's bay to water noodles and snorkel gear. The kitchen had more utensils, dishes, etc than our kitchen at home. The rooftop terrace had breathtaking views as did all of the balconies in the unit. Everyone slept great. Our kids (ages 10 and 13) stayed up in the loft that has two beds (1 king & 1 queen I think) as well as a full bath. They loved the view out the window onto the terrace. The pool area is one of the nicest we saw on the Island. The 2 restaurants on the property were very good. Sangria is the casual restaurant on the beach where we ate quite a few meals and had great service (Good pizza and salad). The caribbean fish market had wonderful food as well. The Condo is in a great area- very close to RedHook where there are tons of good restaurants, a small grocery store as well as ferry service to St. John's. I would recommend renting a car so you can experience all that the Island has to offer.

We had a wonderful week in this condo in February. It is in the perfect spot in St. Thomas – on the West End away from the cruise ship crowds and just a stone’s throw from Red Hook with its shops, restaurants, bars, and groceries. Cowpet Bay is one of the prettiest properties on the island. The beach is beautiful and secluded so no crowds. There are comfortable beach chairs both on the beach and at the pristine swimming pool and adjoining pool bar. The restaurants on the property are a nice convenience, though not the best in the area. The condo is newly refurbished and very clean, spacious and comfortable. Best of all, this particular condo is steps to the beach and pool and has spectacular views of the Caribbean from all 3 (yes 3!) porches/decks (unlike many of the units in the complex.) We were surprised to find ourselves spending so many hours enjoying the views with a book or drink from these private outdoor spaces, and always with a choice of sitting in the sun or shade. We have spent many vacations in St. Thomas and this condo was by far our best find!

The condo was just remodeled and has all new furnishings. The place is very clean and has everything we needed to stay the week and cook in. The appliances are all new and there is a safe for keeping your valuables. We really liked this condo and my wife has a bug phobia but we did not see one bug in the condo all week, amazing for a tropical island. Every room has a flat screen TV with Cable and I could run my business from here with free land line phone service and free internet access. The upper deck balcony is fantastic at night over looking the pool with friends and a cocktail!!

We just returned from the most wonderful vacation at Nancys condo. There were 4 in our party and the accomodations were way more than expected. The internet pictures are exact and upon our arrival we found that we had made the perfect choice in choosing Nancys condo. The resort is beautiful and people are very friendly. The pool and hot tub are amazing. The condo itself had everything to make it feel and operate like home. And the ocean just steps away with breathtaking views! We already miss it and next time there will be no searching the net for a place! We will call on Nancy for sure! We had the chance to explore the island in our rental car and went for a day sail on the Alaunt with Captain Ron and Carol. We highly recommend that. It was our first snorkeling experience and I'm hooked now. The food they prepared and the hospitality they extended to us was outstanding. Look them up at Alaunt Charters! Also we did a half day sport fishing trip with "About Time" Captain Frank and 1st mate Jamie. We girls were hesitant to go on this one and thought we would go shopping in Red Hook and let the guys have some male bonding time. The waters were calm that day and the guys really wanted us to go. So we did and had a ball. We would have missed one of the best vacation memories had we not gone with them. So look them up too at About Time Charters in Red Hook....and be prepared to catch some fish!!! They prepare them dockside upon your return. We enjoyed our black fin tuna and mahi-mahi that day for lunch. Talk about fresh fish!!! It was spectacular! Overall, it was a wonderful time and hard to come back reality for sure!!!

We were a group of 5 women on girl's getaway vacation. This condo is spacious (very), and has 3 full baths (just what 5 women need!) It is neat and clean. The kitchen had everything necessary to make a meal (except the food, of course). All of us thought the beds were comfortable, even the murphy bed. The decor is very tropical and up to date. One of the bedrooms had a bleach like smell that dissipated as the week went on but was very strong when we arrived. It would be nice to have a mat or rug just inside the door to wipe sandy feet and place sandy shoes on. The pool and grounds are well kept and beautiful. (and this is the "low season")The beach is clean and there are many chairs. The health club offers enough equipment for a good workout but the fee is high. Certainly the positives outweigh any "needs". I would definitely recommend this condo at the Elysian.

I just returned from Nancy's Condo at the Elysian Beach Resort, it was magnificent!!! I travelled with a girlfriend and our daughters. The pictures Nancy has posted are EXACTLY what the condo looks like. It was spacious and immaculate. The grounds, pool and beach are well maintained. We were lucky enough to visit during "off season" so there weren't many people there. There were days we had the pool and the beach to ourselves. The East End of St.Thomas is lovely, not as commercial & I recommend it highly. We most definitely go back to St. Thomas & stay at the Elysian, in particular...Nancy's unit...you couldn't ask for more!! Thanks Nancy for such a wonderful place!

Great Condo for a group of friends

We had a group of 3 couples and this condo was ideal for our vacation. Very spacious and comfortable for the 6 of us. There are 3 bathrooms with showers so it made it very easy for us. The best part about this is the location. It is very close to Red Hook - which is where all the action is and also where the ferry leaves to go to the other islands so it made it very convenient. There are a couple of nice restaurants just steps away from the condo on the grounds. I've stayed many times on the island in resorts and I would recommend this condo any day over one of the resorts.

Great Spring Break Vacation

Over the past few years, we've had excellent luck using vacation rentals for our lodging needs. Having two adults and three children (teens and tweens) in our family, a hotel room doesn't provide the space we need. While planning a spring break trip to St. Thomas, Nancy's Elysian beachfront condo stood out from the many others we considered. We were not disappointed with our choice. Nancy's condo provides a lot of space. It's actually three adjoining units rented as one. We received keys for the center unit which contains the kitchen, dining room, living room and laundry. The other two connected units have the bed rooms. Each unit has a balcony and bathroom. There has also been some recent remodeling including the kitchen and bathroom of the king bedroom. During our 4 night stay, we prepared most of our meals in the condo. The kitchen is very nice and is well stocked with dinner ware, cooking utensils and appliances. Be prepared for the food sticker shock in St. Thomas (example: a half gallon of milk is $5). The condo provides plenty of towels for your visit. Also, the Elysian resort provides beach towels. Thankfully, we read another review and knew to bring our own soap. (There was not even soap for hand hygiene at the bathroom sinks—so come prepared.) The Elysian resort is beautiful. It is a very peaceful atmosphere and the grounds, pool and beach were very relaxing and well maintained. All the staff was friendly and helpful. During our stay, none of the facilities seemed crowded. Also, the two restaurants on location were very nice. Nancy provides a wealth of information for your vacation (via emails, this web site and the welcome packet she mails you). One thing we were thankful to know was that a GPS (we have a Garmin Nuvi) with US maps works on St. Thomas. We arrived on St. Thomas after dark, and we relied heavily on the GPS to get us to the condo. Note: On St. Thomas, you drive on the left side of the road. During our stay did the following outings: A chartered day sail. Scuba diving. Megan's bay for sunset. Shopping at the port city of Charlotte Amalie. We highly recommend Nancy’s condo at the Elysian, and we look forward to our next visit.

My husband and 3 children went to Nancy's condo B in late January. Never before have we had such a wonderful vacation. Nancy is a true pleasure to work with! She is a consummate professional, easy to work with, very accommodating and possesses a wealth of information. She sent us a fact sheet and instructions about her condo and the area just before our trip and that proved to be most helpful. The condo is exactly as pictured-there were no surprises. The place is spotless and right near the pool and the beach, which was a top priority for us. It is so spacious that the kids never had the opportunity to get in each other's way. We do recommend that you bring your own toiletries which are not in the condo and which are so expensive (as is food and basic items). Bring lots of sunscreen and insect repellent as well. Trunk Bay is a must and we highly recommend the VI Ecotours and Big Blue excursions, highlights of our trip. You will be most pleased staying at Nancy's condo and it will be a true vacation of a lifetime! Thanks Nancy for a memorable trip!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo. The location was great. Nice and quiet and away from the hustle and bustle but very convenient to Red Hook and its restaurants, shops and ferries. Not to be missed is Trunk Bay beach on St. John. It is the most beautifull beach I've ever seen and we've been to several islands in the caribbean. Among the resorts amenities are two very good restaurants. We ate at them several times. The condo itself is quite comfortable and is equipped with everything you need for your stay except soap and shampoo in the bathrooms so bring your own. The only thing I didn't like was the air conditioning unit in the master bedroom. It worked but is old and quite noisy which made sleeping difficult. I think it might need replacing.

This was our 6th year in a row of vacationing in the Caribbean and our 3rd trip to St. Thomas. This time we took along our daughter, son in law, their almost 2 year old twins and two teenage granddaughters. The condo had plenty of room and the full kitchen was great. The beach was really nice and it was cleaned everyday. We enjoyed the pool and both restaurants. The staff was nice and polite. There is free high speed wireless, but the signal strength wasn't strong enough in the condo. I went to the lobby and was able to get on there. The highlight of our trip was the day sail with Captain Ron and Carol! It was our 3rd time going out with them and it is always a lot of fun. http://www.alauntcharters.com/ We also enjoy Latitude 18, the food is very good and they have live music almost every night. We would highly recommend renting the condo from Nancy. She made it very easy and everything was exactly as described. We will be back!

Everyone in my group was amazed by the condition, location and amenities at this condo, and its proximity to the beach, restaurants and pool at the resort. The units we rented provided enough space for nine adults to move around freely (though we were mostly outside enjoying the beach, pool and restaurants). Everyone in my party was very impressed with everything, and I would certainly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay on St. Thomas. As far as proximity to Red Hook, the ferry to St. John, etc., this is well-located too. Thanks again, and I will be in touch next time I'm planning a trip to St. Thomas!!

Traveled for the first time to St. Thomas and enjoyed not only the experience of the island but also the condo. Nancy was very helpful and, as expected, very organized about the logistics. We traveled with a 10 and 16 yr old and the condo was laid out perfectly for a family of four. The close location to the pool and beach made it easy. The weather was beautiful and the warm was incredibly warm. As others mentioned you do need to bring toiletries but everything else was there to make the vacation easy. Very close to Red Hook for restaurants and, if you have a car, there are a few grocery stores within a quick drive. I recommend the condo to couples and families as it spacious, clean, and close to the beach/pool and other amenities. Would definitely stay here again and appreciate Nancy's attention to detail.

I took a party of seven to St. Thomas and we had the best vacation of our lives. We found the condo to be spacious, clean and very comfortable.The four of us had plenty of room to spread out and we enjoyed spending time on the balconies in the early morning watching the sun come up and getting the tropical breezes. Having stayed in a condo in Cowpet Bay East in the past, we were quite familiar with the area and really enjoy that location on the island. It is convenient to Red Hook where we ferried the car over to St. John one day and took a day sail. We appreciated the abundance of towels provided in the unit.The Elysian resort itself is very well maintained. We particularly enjoyed the intimate feeling of a smaller resort. It lacked nothing and everything was close by. We made good use of the pool and the beach which were easily accessible from the condo. It never felt crowded even though there were several guest on the resort. The condo itself always felt very private. The restaurants and other services were close by and it was nice to be able to book our sailing excursion right there on the beach.We’ve been to several Caribbean resorts on different islands and I find the Virgin Islands are really the best.Thanks for being able to accommodate our mid-week arrival/departure schedule. Nancy’s condo was a super place to enjoy a “girls’ weekend!” After going to St. Thomas for many years with my husband and staying in other rental properties, I must commend Nancy for her effort to keep her condo clean and comfortable. Her condo is split into three units, each with a separate full bath and window air conditioners (noisy, but worked great!). The kitchen and living area was spacious, clean, and even had an iPod player with built-in speakers – great for dancing around before going out on the island! (Just remember to bring your iPod!) Sleeping was a pleasure on comfortable mattresses and nice linen. Hand soap was not provided, but there were plenty of bath and beach towels. We liked that the condo’s location in the resort was close to the pool, beach, and restaurants. There was a small gym at the resort, which for $12 you can get in a run or lift a few weights in air conditioning! We recommend enjoying a light dinner alfresco at Robert’s and cocktails and wonderful pizza at the beach bar. We took advantage of Elysian Beach’s close proximity to Red Hook and caught the ferry to St. John for the wonderful beaches (Trunk/Cinnamon) and snorkeling. We splurged one night and dined at Old Stone Farmhouse. –outstanding grilled Wahoo! We will definitely try to stay at Nancy’s condo, again.

This condo is a fabuluos place to stay. It has lovely views, very stylish comfortable furniture (including the beds!)and just has an overall great feeling. The resort itself is also lots of fun and very relaxing with your choice of a white sandy beach or lovely pool. Both restaurants are excellent the the service first rate. I would definitely rent this condo again and highly recommend it.

We spent Thanksgiving at the condo and we loved it! The rooms were very spacious and clean and so close to the pool and beach. The staff was very nice and helpful and the restaurant was very good. We did not want to come home. We found that the A/C was more than enough during the day and we were able to turn it off at nights for a cool tropical breeze. Thanks!

What a great place for a family vacation! The condo had everything we needed for our one week stay. It's very bright and has nice furnishings and the bedding was really comfortable. It's a great location at the resort - we felt really comfortable having our teenage daughters go to the pool on their own and even ordering lunch at the grill on the beach. The pool, hot tub, and grounds are very well kept. We were fortunate enough to be at the condo at the same time the owners were at the resort. They were very helpful with any questions we had. Their recommendation on this website of where to go and what to do was a good guide for us. Including where to get a rental car and where to go food shopping. We had a great relaxing stay at the condo and a vacation to remember!

My wife and I stayed in this condo in August of 09. It has a great location near to red hook. The property has 2 great restaurants one a bit more upscale and one that is very casual. The unit is huge with tons of space. Very clean and nicely decorated. I would definitely stay there again.

what a wonderful vacation we enjoyed at your 2BR unit at the Elysian last week. The unit it self was perfect, with more than enough room for us. Everything was very clean and we had everything we needed at hand so we could just relax and enjoy each day. We enjoyed the full day snorkel tour which we signed up for right at the Elysian, and we also took the ferry to St. John one afternoon, and stayed there for dinner. We tried a few places for dinner, including the Agave Terrace, which has a beautiful setting high up on a cliff overlooking the water. For our last 2 nights, we stayed right at the Elysian at our 2 favorites - Robert's and Ainsley's. Each day we considered heading off to explore other beaches on St. Thomas, but we had trouble tearing ourselves away from the beach at the Elysian, where we had everything we needed - good snorkeling, a cool breeze, nice shady places spots under the palm trees, and the pool nearby. We look forward to a future vacation on St. Thomas, and we wouldn't think about staying anywhere else.

We stayed in this condo 6/15/09 and had a wonderful time. The condo had plenty of space for the four of us. It was especially nice to have two queen beds in the second bedroom. We really enjoyed the pool area, it was very nice. The beach was okay, not real fantastic. We enjoyed the two restaurants at the resort, Roberts American Grille & Ainsleys. This condo is in an excellent area. Just a short drive to Red Hook. We took a ferry over to St. Johns and also chartered a sail boat with Ike Witt. We recommend a visit to Trunks Bay in St. John for great snorkeling and to Coki Beach in St. Thomas.

Wanted to let you know what a great time we had on St Thomas and in your condo. First of all the place was great, and roomy, and we especially enjoyed that third bathroom with the five of us! The location of the unit is also great, with the view of the water and pool too. I can see why you choose that spot. We went to several beaches on St Thomas (Sapphire, Coki, Magen's Bay, Secret Harbor) as well as Cowpet Bay. I think the Elysian Resort is the best of all the resorts on those beaches for sure. We booked two "excursions" while we were there....the first was a day sail with Jester out of Point Pleasant which was a slow sail over to Caneel Bay and Honeymoon Beach to snorkel with lunch on board afterwards and then a slow sail back to Point Pleasant. We wish they would have stopped at least once more, but we'll know better to ask up front next time. In between the excursions, we took the car ferry over to St John and snorkeled Trunk Bay and drove by Cinnamon and Maho Bays and on to Annenberg Sugar Mill, Coral Bay and back to Cruz Bay for a late lunch and souvenir shopping. Our second excursion, and last day on St Thomas, we took a private charter motor boat with Big Blue Excursions out of Red Hook (Dock A) that was excellent. Capt Bradley Wilson took us to Congo Cay for a drift snorkel, and on the Leinster Bay and Water Lemon Cay on St John for more snorkeling. Then we headed to Jost Van Dyke, to Great Bay to see Foxy's, clear customs, over to Foxy's Taboo for lunch, and then to the Soggy Dollar Bar for Painkillers and T-shirts. Great day! Great trip!

We vacationed in St. Thomas 5/9 - 5/14 and had an excellent trip. We rented through VRBO and stayed in Condo #2. Cowpet Bay is great. Very beautiful and extremely relaxing. The Elysian amenities are really nice. The pool is fantastic. The condo itself was perfect. 2 Bedrooms, 3 baths, and the fold out murphy bed accomodated my party of 6 adults and two infants no problem. The condo was stocked with everything needed for a great vacation. Location is great as Red Hook is just a hop and a skip. One work of warning, please find Kmart and Cost U Less as soon as you arive in St. Thomas. The marina market is convenient, but the cost savings for the week would have been immense had we done the bulk of our shopping at Cost U Less. Did a lot of dining. Iggie's on Bolongo Bay was so much fun. I will definately vacation in St. Thomas again and will definately stay in either of this particular owner's 2 condo's at the Elysian.
