The home was wonderful. It had tons of space, nicely decorated, close to all yet far enough away from the throngs of teenagers on spring break. It was nice to be able to have the kids drive a short ways to Seaside and for the adults to stay on a nice quite beach just a few minutes from your door. One note - please list for all your vistors to bring toilet paper, dish soap, trash bags, soap etc... the hard esentials that one can gather from home. It was nice to have a starter set but it was just that a starter set. It is just a wonderful place to be on 30A.

We wanted quiet, we wanted comfort, we wanted the beach. We got it all and more here in the roomy, easy, beautiful Preserve of Grayton Beach. Grateful to these home owners who share their every convenience with their renters and their beloved dog - we'll be coming back. It's the best experience of our year, time away on the prettiest beach on the Gulf! thanks to everyone.

The home was indeed a home, not just a house. It was comfortable and lovely. Would recommend this for a family. There were only a few household items that we had to purchase since the kitchen was amply stocked with supplies. Wish I could have stayed another week! The pass codes for the entrance gate and pool provided in the mgt. company paper work were incorrect. For a moment there we thought we might not get in. Luckily Seacastle was open so a quick phone call and we have the correct codes.

My husband and I stayed here for the entire month of March! This house is beautiful, the neighborhood is fabulous and the location is the absolute best! We had a great time biking all over Grayton Beach. The bike path is wonderful and safe. This house is so comfortable to stay in--we felt just like we were home. The kitchen is very well equipped--we didn't lack anything to cook gourmet meals. This was such a great way to spend March and get away from the cold weather. Thank you for a great house and wonderful stay!

This was the perfect getaway location for my family! The home is gorgeous with absolutely everything you need to have a wonderful vacation. Everything is new and clean, just outstanding. The beautiful porches are an added benefit, a great way to spend the early morning or late evening. The beach is breathtaking and very private with few other guests. The location is perfect, resting just between Seaside and Destin. There is so much to do and see in the area. We will be back, for sure and refer our friends to this wonderful place!

Sandy Feet Retreat was just what the doctor ordered! Sun, good friends, the beach, were all on the plans for these teachers. The weather was absolutely beautiful and the beach spectacular. The house gave us all our individual privacy, but allowed us to relax and enjoy each other's company when we wanted to as well. The kitchen had all the amenities one could need and the beds were very comfortable. I most enjoyed sipping coffee on the front porch and watching the sun rise while reading a good book. Getting to the beach was only a short walk and very easy to access. We even got in exercise daily as there's a walking/biking path just off the main road and The Preserve makes for an excellent place to walk as well. The neighborhood was quiet and relaxing and filled with beautiful homes, but Sandy Feet is by far the most homey. Can't wait to make my next trek to Grayton and relax in the lap of luxury.

We stayed at Sandy Feet in late July 2010. Our stay was a mixed review. First of all, no one will tell you about the "June Bloom" until you get there. Late June through August you really can't get in the water because of all the algae. It is everywhere and feels gross. The water looks pretty though. Pertaining to the house, it is not as close to the beach as one thinks. The walk through the preserve w/several children is miserable w/absolutely no breeze in the area. My main complaint with the rental is that once you get to the beach through the walkway you are not allowed on the beach in that location and must walk to the "wet" sand. The perception through the website is that you are allowed on the "private" beach w/the nice pretty, dry, fluffy sand. Once we got to the beach, however, we were told that it is only for the condos directly in front. We were even shown a letter that was mailed out to all the homeowners saying that they are not allowed on the beach in front of the condos and must go to the wet sand. So we had to keep trudging along w/the kids to the area we were "allowed" on. The house itself was nice and clean. Everything we needed was there and it is very pretty. The blinds weren't an issue as far as privacy because there aren't any other houses directly next to the house. Be ready to wake up w/the sun though because all light comes through. We never got to sleep late because there was so much light. The water pressure in the master shower was very low. We kept the air conditioning on the temp suggested by the mgmt company, but the downstairs remained warm until early morning while the upstairs froze. Like I said the house was clean, it had all items we needed, the outdoor shower was great for cleaning up when we got back from the beach, the decor was pretty and comfortable, plenty of beds, pillows and blankets. The house I would give a "Good" rating, but because of the beach situation I am giving this an overall "Average" rating. I realize that this isn't completely the homeowners fault, but think that this situation should be made obvious on the rental site.
Owner response:The June Bloom is harmless and a fact of life in the Gulf just like seaweed is on the East Coast but in 2010 the weather was above average which made it last longer than the normal week or two. The walk to the beach is 6-7 minutes or if you choose to drive to the public beach it is a mile and a half away. When you arrive at the private beach you may be asked by the owner of the condos to sit to the left of the flag. I am not sure why this renter chose to sit in the "wet" sand in front of the condo chairs instead of over a few feet to the left of the flag where the beach is large and there is lots of "dry, fluffy" sand and beach front. The AC zones have been adjusted so the temperatures throughout the house will be more balanced and the shower head in the master bath has been changed to improve the water pressure. Thanks for the feedback.

My family stayed at the Sandy Feet Retreat and had a great vacation! The accomodations were perfect! The beach is drop dead gorgeous with no crowds. Everything was better than we expected it. We hope to come back again and again.

We spent the last week at Sandy Feet Retreat and it was wonderful! The house is great, lots of room with screened and unscreened porches. We had 4 adults, 5 teenagers and a 6 year old and everyone had a place to sleep and plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy the beautiful house. The neighborhood is also great for a family, with pools and tennis courts. The beach as always is wonderful in this area. We would definitly choose this property again and recommend to our friends!

We stayed at Sandy Feet in mid July. The weather was amazing! Our dog loved his first trip to the beach and we had the best time ever. The accommodations were incredible and there was plenty of room for all (including 4 teenage boys!). What a piece of heaven just 5 1/2 hours from Atlanta.

we visited 30a and chose this house for our golfing-related stay in the area. this could be a really nice house but....it was dirty, there was food, dog hair and toenail clippings under the furniture (which i moved to run the vacuum), the house has no privacy with the see-through blinds on every window, not a cozy place at all and....we had to battle a barage of ants in the kitchen throughout our stay. also, you could see that the owner had removed and replaced the "governor" from the shower head in the master many times, so we did too, and that was the only way to get decent water pressure for a good shower. also the rental company was not efficient or pleasant to deal with. basically our stay at this house was very disappointing for the cost. you could do better in the town of greyton or down in sunrise/sunset.
Owner response:As an owner we take great pride in our home and we were very disappointed to see this review. We absolutely would have taken care of the problems immediately if we had known about it at the time. Since seeing this we have had a plumber in to take care of the shower head in the master bath. Also, the bambo shades on the windows were chosen to view out but you cannot view into the home. We have also checked with other renters to see if they had similar experiences which they assured us they did not. We respect this renters right to express their opinion but wish they had done it upon their arrival so we could have quickly resolved their issues.
