You'll spend hours relaxing on the huge screened-in porch, fully equipped with a gas grill, and enjoying the tranquility of the nature that surrounds you.
Feel like being active? You will find countless opportunities to enjoy all that Harbor Country has to offer, including hiking, biking, swimming, and berry picking. The home is a quick drive to miles of beachfront, Lake Michigan, Warren Dunes State Park and Weko Beach (less crowded than the rest and my personal favorite.
October 9-12th (Columbus Day Weekend) is "Harbor Country Harvest Days", a delightful few days of art receptions, farmers' markets, open houses, shopping and dining in all sorts of places worth exploring. I'm a busy working woman based in Chicago. I don't get to enjoy my home away from home as often as I'd like, so I want to share this place with responsible vacationers to enjoy.
Why the Owner Chose Sawyer
It's hard to beleive this place is just a short 1.5 hour drive from Chicago which makes it ideal for weekend getaways. The five acres that surround my house makes for a very private and quiet retreat from city living. It's a short drive to beaches and local attractions. I come here to relax-- and spend most of my time on the screened in porch overlooking the beautiful garden and wooded area that surround the property. It's ideal for entertaining large or small groups of friends for barbecues, dinner parties and all the exciting things to do locally.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The large, fully-furnished, screened-in porch is where guests spend most of their time while they visit. Great for cooking, relaxing and socializing. Great view of flower gardens and the woods.
