Located on the southern end of Ambergris Caye, 4.5 miles south of San Pedro town, our home rests on a 100 foot lot that looks directly out to the Caribbean Sea.
Every room and deck has water views, and you can see the waves breaking over the Mesoamerican reef which is just approximately a mile off shore – and is the second largest reef in the world. From the balcony, you can see boats tethered at the well known dive and snorkel sites of Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley.
At 3000 square feet, the house is spacious, open and has room for the entire family. The living room has a beautifully crafted 2 story hardwood vaulted ceiling and picture windows facing every direction.
With cherished mahogany and hardwood furniture throughout, the home has two master bedrooms each with an attached bath and both featuring views of the turquoise Caribbean waters from your bed.
You’ll also enjoy ocean views from the fully equiped kitchen and dining room table that seats ten.
The house has four bedrooms, and sleeps 8 comfortably. The large living room contains two futon couches that fold out to full sized futon beds and can provide additional sleeping space.
The first master bedroom features a mahogany four poster queen bed. The second master has a lovely bamboo four poster queen bed. The third bedroom has a queen-sized futon, and can either be used to sleep two people, or as a study or game room.
The fourth bedroom is a "mother-in-law's suite" on the house’s lower level with a double bed and its own attached full bathroom.
Because the house is five miles south of town, it is perfect for the vacationers that are seeking a unique private getaway. To travel to and from town, you will need to either rent a golf cart (the island’s standard transportation method), or use island taxi drivers. When making a reservation, we can help put you in touch with both.
You will find all of the Caribbean vacation activities you are seeking in San Pedro with tour operators that run daily diving, snorkeling, deep sea and fly fishing trips. Island outfitters offer lessons in kite boarding and wind surfing, and you can rent wave runners, kayaks, sailboats and bicycles.
We can put you in touch with experienced outfitters as well as a local boat captain who is skilled at leading fishing excursions or can take you on a day trip around the island with snorkeling stops, and a beach barbeque.
Travel to Ambergris Caye: All commercial flights from the U.S. arrive at Belize International Airport (BZE). Two local commuter airlines, Tropic Air and Maya Air, offer direct flights from BZE to the island, which arrive in the town of San Pedro.
The flight is approximately 20 minutes long and departs every 30 minutes daily.

Why the Owner Chose San Pedro
We fell in love with the relaxed, comfortable, shorts-and-sandals nature of this island. Though the island is growing every year, when we first began coming here it was considered "just a bit off the beaten path." We chose the location for our house because it is just far enough from town as to give the feeling of being far from the rest of the world, but it is still a short golf cart drive to town for an evening out or to pick up groceries.
The town is a picture postcard setting - small colorfully painted houses, sand streets, coconut palms all nestled beside turquoise Carribean waters.

What a great little get away home! It was just outside of the hustle and bustle the town which made the nights peaceful, quiet, and the stars unbelievable. The home was simple, airy, comfortable, and right on the ocean front. We spent our days relaxing on the pier staring out into the blue/green water. Im already planning another trip! Top scuba sites were just a short boat ride from the pier. Recommend rental a golf cart to explore the island and the culture.

I have spent time at this amazing place. It is beautiful, clean, and peaceful. It is enjoyable to sit on the deck and catch the great sunsets. We took a snorkeling trip that was incredible. The owners are easy to work with. My family can't wait to return.

Casa Dam is truly an escape from the anxieties of the world. A little piece of paradise at which you can recharge your batteries, gather your thoughts, and appreciate the simplicities of life. Had a tremedous experience my first time and each year it just gets better and better. Cant imagine a year without it.
