Private Pool new for Spring 2012! Now that we know for sure that we are putting in the pool, we are now accepting reservations for 2012.
We are excited to annouce our new Private Pool in time for Spring Break. After our New Years' guests finish celebrating, we'll be breaking ground on our new pool area located on the north side of the house. We won't have our new pictures until around the first of March--we want to have our landscaping in before we take our "beauty shots"!
Come to the Gulf coast and experience the best of beach living. Our beaches are breath-taking. We have sunny skies, clean white sand and clear water topped off with a warm salt-air breeze. So enjoy long walks on the beach, shelling, swim, relax and get away.
Relax and enjoy two Gulf front decks and take in the amazing sunrise and sunset views.
This is the perfect spot to enjoy the Gulf view and your favorite sports team TV viewing, choosing from flat screens in 2 living rooms or 3 other TVs. Spend half-time on the beach or at the new private pool.
Halekai II, an extraordinary four-bedroom, four-bath home that sleeps 12, is ideal for family vacation or getaway with new kitchen and completely remodeled throughout.
The main floor has a King Beachfront Bedroom, the 2nd Floor has 3 bedrooms, each with Queen Size Beds, and a Queen Sleeper sofa in Family Room.
At the very peak of the house the views of the coastline are incredible and there are even sleeping accommodations for two in this cupola in twin beds that can convert to a queen-size bed.
This upscale beach property has two large decks overlooking the blue waters and white sands of the Gulf of Mexico. Besides the four bedrooms there are two living rooms for family and friends to gather and a cupola will sleep two. The lucky couple who stays in the master suite also have a jacuzzi tub for relaxation. Luxurious 500 ct sheets and extra thick towels complete the perfect vacation accommodation.
Halekai II is one of the few beachfront homes in Orange Beach, Alabama. It is WEDDING FRIENDLY!

Dear Jim and Sally,Thank you so much for your warm and beautiful home for my family during the Thanksgiving holidays. This time has reminded me and my family just how blessed we truly are. I cannot recall the last time I have felt so relaxed or laughed so hard! This vacation was so needed by so many members of my family. We needed the steady rise and fall of the tide to bring balance back to our stressful day to day lives. Halekai II gave our family a place of memories that will last a lifetime. Every member of our family enjoyed every detail of the house… from the mirror above the couch to the crow’s nest. The shelled mirror offered such inspiration that we had a craft night where the ladies of the house and some of the children created frames of our own! (Sally, it’s not as easy as it appears!) Sally, thank you so much for thinking of everything we might need to make a traditional Thanksgiving meal! We enjoyed our stay so much here at Orange Beach. I feel certain this will become a new Thanksgiving tradition for my family. God bless you both and Roll Tide!.. Jim, thanks for the flounder!

Thank you so much! This was the first occasion for the former staff to get together in a year. It was the most wonderful reunion of people who love each other so much and never get the chance to come together because of distance and life situations. It was the perfect place to do this and an amazing memory for us all! Thank you for sharing your home. What a wonderful weekend at Halekai II.

November 25, 2010 -- It is Thanksgiving Day and my 50th birthday. As I write, I can hear the sounds of my family as yet another game of “somekind” is in full swing.. We’re all here and this weekend the challenge was given “to enjoy each other and leave the electronics at home” This trip started two days ago when my husband, two boys (ages 14 and 9) and my mother arrived. High hopes for nice weather, good eating, and SEC football were foremost in our minds! November 28 -- Our trip is coming to a close as this is our last night in your lovely home, and I think it has succeeded all our hopes. My sister and her husband and my brother with his family arrived early Wednesday afternoon--with plenty of sunshine to play on the beach! This continued thru Friday pm and then we cheered, yelled and danced Auburn to a victory –IRON BOWL 2010 – Auburn 28, Alabama 27 –War Eagle!!! There was even an Aubie dancing in the Crows Nest!

Thank you for sharing this lovely home. I enjoyed spending time with my sweet children and my precious grandchildren. I love the beach. L. and I enjoyed a brief walk together and a race. (He won). Our granddaughter loved the cupola. She did a great job going up and down the stairs. I enjoyed a little shopping trip with grandchildren….and it was fun to play at the beach in the waves. Everyone had a good time here. I hope we stay here again.

The M. family returns to the Gulf and to Halekai for the first time in 12 years…plus or more. It was the return of the incredible “old times.” Our daughter consulted with her brothers, finally agreeing on a time and place. They then invited their parents! Who knew children would want to hang out with parents—so our granddaughter had her first visit to Romar Beach. And we hope she will be coming back until it is “old” days for her too … with rainbow umbrellas and a baby pool on white sand beaches with clear green water. The Gulf was teeming with bait fish and so the Blues and Skipjacks were back. We caught a bunch surfcasting on the last day. Even the Fish Eagles were here, like the “old days.”

Wow, Wow, Wow!! What an incredible place. Everything needed all under one roof. The place was perfect for the event and we couldn't have asked for a better place to house the family and friends.

We are 6 sisters ages 67 to 47, making our annual vacation together. Your house is so warm and inviting. We can tell that you have put lots of thoughts together to provide this loving place – and what a fitting name. We loved the beach with all the shell searching, picture taking and “boogie boarding” -- if you can envision a 67 yr old woman on a board! Your décor was beautiful. Enjoyed eating breakfast at your unusual table as a family. No way to describe all the wonderful memories we have of your lovely (what started out as a vision) Halekai II.

Thank you for opening up your home to us! This is truly a magical place! We had so much fun we HAD to add 2 more days to our stay. The moment we walked into Halekai II we felt at home. Even during the few rain storms we were having fun playing Uno or checkers or reading. The kids loved the Crow’s Nest as their special retreat! (To any reader who is visiting, I have to recommend Lulu’s, the Hangout, and a dolphin cruise!)
