Lake Joy is a very special place to come relax with your family and enjoy the great outdoors! The newer custom home is beautiful and nicely furnished. Lake Joy is CLEAN and QUIET (no gas motor boats allowed). Take in the fresh air on a 2 1/2 mile WALK or BIKE around the lake, and pick wild berries in the summer. Race with a KAYAK boat for fun and exercise or enjoy reading on the HAMMOCK under the trees.
Have breakfast on the patio LANAI at sunrise, and on the lake DOCK at sunset while seeing gorgeous lake and mountain views! In the evening gaze at the stars, then come in to watch a movie from the DVD library, play a GAME OF POOL or ping pong, and challenge others to some board games. Leave your worries behind. Here is the place to unwind, slow down, smell the flowers and enjoy the great outdoors!
This custom home takes advantage of outside light with skylights, large windows, and expansive lake views. The master bedroom on the upper floor has amazing lake views, small balcony, 2-sided gas fireplace viewable from the bed or jetted bathtub, and large shower for two (two shower heads). Two other bedrooms upstairs share a full bathroom (one bedroom has a large balcony). Bedroom downstairs has lake views and is next to a full bathroom accessible to the entrance floor. Quality linens, large size bath towels and comfortable mattresses. The house has wireless internet access.
Downstairs the kitchen is fully equipped, has granite counters and a nice eating bar. The dining room has huge lake view windows and seats 8. The family room has a fireplace. Next to the family room is a game or reading room with another fireplace. The living room hosts a full sized pool table. A top is available to play ping pong or a version of air hockey (more like shuffling the pucks). Two kayaks, a pedal boat, life jackets, and several bikes are stored on-site available to you at no extra charge.
For more adventures, within an hour enjoy Seattle's best attraction "gems"; Woodland Park Zoo, Space Needle, Pacific Science Center, Seattle Art Museum and Sculpture Park, Experience Music Project, Science Fiction Museum, Washington Park Arboretum, Pike's Place Market on the water, Museum of Modern Flight, Lake Washington Canal and Locks... Within a half hour stop at shopping meccas Bellevue, Redmond and Issaquah. Close by visit Remlinger Farmers Market and Summer Carnival, skating park, seasonal berry picking, and the quaint towns of Duvall and Carnation. Something here for everyone!

Why the Owner Chose Bellevue
Long before we built our customer home at Lake Joy, we had been spending summers with family there. It is a very friendly community and place to wind down, have "no worries", and get refreshed.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We enjoy the wild flowers and lush greenery that grows in the Northwest. We are inspired watching slight changes in the weather change the look of the lake. Nature is everywhere from birds to deer to hearing the songs of frog choirs at night. Evenings are restful as we eat on the lanai, watch a movie, then star gaze on our master balcony. We always hate to leave Lake Joy and feel so refreshed having taken our "retreat" there.

As a family with three children under 10 years of age, we love relaxing at our Lake Joy retreat and experiencing the extended summer days (sometimes it stays light until 9pm). Family, Music, sports, kayaking, swimming, church, and living on the dock are our delights.

We rented the home for our family reunion...ages 9 - 72,,,the home was perfect for everyone. Plenty of space for everyone...beautiful, fun lake with dock to enjoy incredible sunrises and sunsets. Huge deck to seat everyone for dinner... big kitchen....pool table was a fun bonus. Would return for another trip in a second. Loved to watch the deer cross the yard each morning!

Everything is as described, and the house is a perfect place for a family vacation for all ages. The lake is clean and surprisingly warm. This is a perfect place for weddings, family gatherings, and just plain enjoying the beauty of the lake and the mountains.

This home was perpect for the two families that got together for the 1st time in many years. The home had plenty of room for our group of 4 adults, 4 older chioldren, and 1 young child. The home and the amenities are first class. We were out of the house most of the daytime hours exploring the Seattle and Vancouver area but it was always great to come back and relax to such a spacious home.

We were looking for a place to have our wedding. We wanted a nice place with a lawn for the reception, and a view over water for the ceremony. We also wanted a place for our two families, flying in from around the world, to stay at for a week prior to the wedding. We found all this at this lakefront house on Lake Joy. We had a great team spending the week at the house with our families - with plenty of activities on the lake and in nearby Seattle. The wedding ceremony and party also went great. We couldn't have been happier.

The property was absolutely wonderful and everyone had a terrific time. The kids loved the kayaking and the Wii, the adults loved the natural setting and quiet location to spend long hours catching up. We intended to spend a lot of time exploring Puget Sound, but the house and lake were so wonderful we didn't leave the property once during our stay. Would book this property again in a heartbeat. "The pictures don't do this home justice! The interior of the home is pristine and very well maintained. It is just breathtaking and the master bedroom is glorious with it's jetted tub.The grounds were immaculate and every morning we woke up to the sound of ducks on the lake. We had access to paddleboats and life jackets which my kids and grandkids loved. It became cool at night and we were pleased to know that most of the rooms had a fireplace. There were flowers everywhere and the surrounding properties were lovely too. We did not eat at local restaurants as we had a wonderful, fully stocked kitchen to cook in. We did venture into Mukelteo to eat at Ivars and to hop a ferry to Whidby Island. The Albertsons in Carnation made a graduation cake that was beautiful and they had a lot of fresh produce to chooses from. I brought my family here from NM to celebrate my son's college graduation. He said it was the best graduation present ever. This was the best vacation we ever had and we hated to leave."

Our stay at this house at Lake Joy was exceptional. It is such a beautiful home. Right when you walk into the house, you have a great view of the lake. The big windows and the layout make for a very spacious feel. The view of the backyard/lake from the upstairs bedrooms/sundecks is wonderful. We loved the layout of the master bedroom/bathroom. It had a jetted tub and a fireplace, which was fantastic. The very spacious shower with the two shower-heads was awesome. Very comfortable bed. We awoke to beautiful sunrises. One morning as the sun rose over the lake we saw a family of deer in the distance. I got some pretty amazing pictures. The house is equipped with everything you would need to cook and eat. The house is very well stocked. There are a lot of things to do that come with the house: a piano, pool table, ping pong, air hockey, many board games, and a vast selection of movies to watch. Life jackets are provided. A pedal boat, which we made use of everyday. Kayaks. We were in the lake every day; it was a lot of fun. The private dock on the lake has a table/chairs and is a great spot to hangout. The backyard is big and is very well kept. The house is in a good area. We went for a walk and were able to pick berries from bushes along the roads. The house is convenient to everything. Gas station, grocery store, etc. is close by. Downtown Seattle is not that far away. We were able to go check out a Seattle Mariners game on one of the days and do some shopping. Our experience overall was a 10 out of 10. The home owner/caretaker was very accommodating and was there for us if we had any questions. We still think about our stay here all the time. We highly recommend it to everybody. We can't wait to go back!
