The apartment is on the most divine delicatessen shops street of Paris, Rue de Bretagne, across the street from the garden ( square du Temple).The much coveted Marais district needs little introduction. From your door it is an easy, pleasant walk to the Picasso Museum, Musee Carnavalet and Place des Vosges, through a labyrinth of tiny medieval streets lined by magnificent "Hotels Paris. A very charming garden square (Carreau du Temple) bustles with cafes and restaurants.
One block away is a daily open air market (Marché des Enfants Rouges) where you will find the finest, most eclectic, cheese, wine, vegetable and meat shops in town. Parents with children will love the Square du Temple and its playground across the street. The square, popular still, was a favorite hang out for the aristocracy and "thinkers" of the 17th century. This trendy area was recently featured in Gourmet Magazine. Many of the featured suggestions from that piece are just a block away; for example, Chez Omar, a very popular restaurant and the Web Bar where one can eat and be connected to email in the same sitting!
If shopping is your love, the cutting edge shops of the rue des Francs-Bourgeois are steps away! A choice of metro lines take you wherever your fancy leads you.

Two flight of stairs above (no elevator), in a small building characteristic of the 18th Century this duplex apartment enchants with its country style! This vacation rental has recently been refurbished to exacting standards. Ingenious use of space allow for modern convenience, terra-cotta tiles throughout provide visual continuity, and openings allow flow through large and comfortable space.
The main bedroom is at the same floor as the entrance and has its own bathroom while the 2 other bedrooms, one floor up accessible thru wood stairs , have access to the 2nd bathroom

The living-room and the kitchen are furnished comfortably. The dining area has a table and eight chairs. The kitchen is fully outfitted (refrigerator, stove/oven, dishes, pots, and pans), and has other conveniences including Dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker.
An ipod player and and a cabled TV are provided. DSL high speed Internet and ipad computer are included.
2 full bathrooms:
The first bathroom has a shower and is directly accessible from the main bedroom while the second one has a bathtub and is on the second floor to serve the 2 other bedrooms.

We stayed in this apartment with our two teenagers.The computer was a big hit! It was very clean. It had everything you could possibly need, including the rolling grocery cart to go to the market and ping-pong paddles.It was in a great location with several metro stops within walking distance. The bus stop was directly across the street(for those who prefer the scenic route). One could easily walk to Centre Georges Pompidou and Notre Dame. The park was just a extra plus. We had lunch there several times and it was a great cultural experience to see the locals hanging out. The stairs going to the second floor are a bit steep. So, I wouldn't recommend the second floor for those who have trouble getting around. There was AC on the second floor and only a small fan in the first floor bedroom. We were there during a heat wave and it was a bit warm on the first floor. We would definitely stay here again.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children.

We absolutely loved staying in this apartment! There were 6 of us, and I had been concerned that we might feel cramped, but it was just the right size to feel cozy. The location is superb--surrounded by easily accessible Metro stops and fabulous patesseries, markets, and charcuteries. The listing description is spot-on regarding location. We played ping pong in the little park directly across the street. The photos reflect the apartment exactly, and the apartment is clean. The hosts were very welcoming, and the whole process was easy. The floor is uneven, and there are some stairs to navigate, so I wouldn't recommend this rental for folks intimidated by some climbing, and the building is private and quiet, so loud guests definitely disrupt the neighbors. We felt exceptionally fortunate to have found this rental and to have had the privilege of staying here!
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
