This home is our summer home which our family has enjoyed for many generations and we are now opening to renters during the summer months. It is perfectly located just a few short blocks from town and from beaches.
The first floor has large rooms to accommodate lots of friends and family! The most popular room is the large screened-in back porch with a dining table as well as lots of seating for enjoying the spectacular weather and views of beautiful Round Lake. The back yard is perfect for volleyball or badminton or just relaxing. Listen to the summer concerts from East Park each week and listen to the bridge bell ringing as the sailboats venture out into Lake Michigan. Also, because of the size of this house, there are lots of places for moments of privacy when family togetherness gets to be too much!!
Walk 3 blocks to town to shop and eat and see the bridge up close. There are several beaches which are within walking distance: Depot Beach on Lake Charlevoix which is perfect for young families; Michigan Avenue beach on Lake Michigan which is perfect for finding those Petoskey Stones; and, Mt. McSauba beach on Lake Michigan which has some of the best sand in the area. There are many more beaches in the area but we cannot name them all here!!

We have been visiting the Northern Michigan area, specifically Charlevoix, since childhood and love the relaxing "state of mind" we enjoy in this beautiful town. The quiet atmosphere of this small town and all the water surrounding us lends itself to relaxation.
Why the Owner Chose Charlevoix
Charlevoix offers the best of two worlds in that it is situated on Round Lake which is a harbor between Lake Charlevoix and Lake Michigan.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Our house offers quiet, space and proximity to activities and town. There are ceiling fans in many of the rooms as well. The house is a perfect house for large family gatherings ---- offering beds for up to 14 people: 5 bedrooms on second floor plus beds for 4 on the sleeping porch. On the third floor there are 2 addl small single rooms available.

Having spent 15 summers near Charlevoix, I have to say this is an amazing house for large family gatherings! The home is beautiful and well appointed with lots of space to enjoy some time together (or apart) in northern Michigan. You'll be blown away... the pictures do not do the house justice. Enjoy!
Recommended for:Age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, girls getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

This cottage was perfect for our large (11) group. It was clean and neat when we arrived and there were plenty of towels and linens. The kitchen was well stocked and all of the bedrooms were comfortable. There was plenty of room in the back yard to play, and the back porch was perfect for cocktail hour. The only parking is on the street, and we took up several spaces, but the neighbors did not seem to mind. It's an easy walk into town form the cottage. The pictures do not really do this cottage justice. The owners were accommodating and easy to work with. We hope to come back
