This was a terrific place for our family to relax and play. We came for a hockey tourney in Charleston and it was the perfect distance from the Ice Palace. Our boys had pleanty of room to roam and play. They loved the foozeball table on the porch and the pool was great. The accomidations were perfect for the 6 of us. We felt right at home. We enjoyed our stay and it worked out perfectly for our needs travling with 2 kids and my parents. We enjoyed Cypress Gardens, Folly Beach, The Isle of Palms, a carrige ride through downtown Charleston. I enjoyed eating at Bubba Gumps Shrimp Factory. The kids enjoyed Gilligans- they made balloon Spiderman- a big hit! The wine and muffins were a thoughtful gesture. The towels were soft and the pool looked inviting but it was cold, it is October. May 26, 2010 Thank you Nita and Tanya… We had a very peaceful stay. You have made your home very comfortable. It's clear you don't just rent out a home but you really want your guest to have a good stay. Once again, thanks for the extra special touches. To start the house is located about an hour north of Charleston, not 15 minutes. When you first walk into the house you are hit in the face with the odor of lysol and mold and treated to a dark living room with a nice flat screen tv and horrible couch. The picture you see is of the enclosed back porch and it isn't air conditioned. The pool was nice and the beds were ok, but the smell was at times overwhelming. We had no choice but to stay due to all of the college graduations in Charleston, plus the restrictions of the contract we agreed to. Now they are holding our deposit due to the house smelling smokey, and have since changed to saying we ripped the pool liner. ... and also the neighbors were a bit close for our taste. Really not a good place to stay for the price.

Owner response:I'm saddened that Ms. C has responded with such untruths... First of all, anyone can map quest and see the house is only a 20 minute drive to Charleston. I cant be responsible for her navigational skills... we do provide maps for guest convenience. She is disgruntled because we found the home reeked of cigarette smoke when it clearly states it's a non smoking home. Rocks in the pool that resulted in needing repair and extra cleaning staff to prepare the home for our next guests with an infant arriving in a few hours concerned me deepley. We've had many guest leave comments regarding their lovely stay, how conveniently located the home is, clean, confortable and will be returning. This is the first negative remark...
