I am a professor of marketing at Middle Tennessee State University. My wife Lynne is a Maine native and works at Vanderbilt University in Nashville as Director of Communications for the School of Medicine.
Why the Owner Chose Surry
When we decided to buy a beach house in 2005, we looked all over the Acadia area and determined that Newbury Neck was the ideal location -- close enough to Mount Desert Island for convenience, but away from the noise and traffic of the high season.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The area around our home is wooded and we enjoy the serenity and the abundance of wildlife. Our private beach is accessible at all tide levels and is very convenient for launching boats or swimming.
