Come experience "Historic Salem", in our 1808 "Historic Colonial" Home. Recently updated with upgraded Beds, Furniture and Stainless Steel Appliances. We still kept the some of the original charm of this historic home including hardwood floors, Windows and doors. Walk to everything in Salem, "the House of the Seven Gables", "Hawthorne Hotel", Salem Commons, "Peabody Essex Museum", Salem Harbor,"Pickering Wharf" and "The Salem Witch Museum" are all with in a 5 minute walk. The home has 6 bedrooms(6 Queens) and one Full Baths /two 3/4 Bath(shower) and one 1/2 bath. Enjoy the full Kitchen and 8 place dining room table, or walk to many of the wonderful restaurants(Google lists 62 within 1 mile). Central Heating and Window A/C, !!Off-Street Parking for 1 auto, Street Park in front of home for 3-4 cars(not reserved but usually open)

We were a family of 5 with 2 guests in Salem the week before Halloween.What a pleasure it was staying right in town, with the ability to go "home" and rest when we needed to, watch the football game, etc.The rooms look even nicer in person, and the home has a warm cozy aura. We especially loved to gather in the huge dining room, which is flooded with natural light. It was too warm to light the wood burning stove, but we did light the electric fireplace in the living room every night.The kitchen is like new, with every staple and gadget you may need or want. The beds are comfortable, the showers are great- nothing bad to say. There is a grocery with ATM and 2 bakeries right around the corner.The main part of town is a stroll through the park or down to the waterfront- a comfortable walk. The locals were very friendly and helpful. We called George, the local caretaker twice and he immediately responded (once to move the owner's car up a couple of feet in the driveway so we could all fit, and once for advice on where to get automotive assistance).Cole, the owner was a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely be back!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+.
