We invite you to stay in our lovely cottage with beautiful gardens that is just steps from the bay and the best sunsets on the east coast. You can enjoy morning coffee or pre-dinner cocktails by the pond listening to the waterfall, or have lunch in the screen house listening to the fountain, or you can roast marshmallows at the fire pit. Perhaps you want to escape with a book on the beach or surrounded by lovely butterfly and hummingbird gardens. Eat out at the many fine restaurants nearby or create great dinners at the cottage using fresh herbs, edible flowers and tomatoes from the garden. The beach is just steps away, FREE, and abounds with wildflowers, dune grasses, and butterflies. Carry your coffee down in the morning to watch the dolphins or a glass of wine at sunset. Our lovely beach has calm, warm waters and great fishing and crabbing off the jetties.
There is always something to do, or you can just do nothing. Music, fun and good food just blocks away at Harpoon Henry's or at the many fine restaurants in Cape May. Wildlife preserves for bird watching are minutes away, Wildwood boardwalk 15 minutes, Cape May 10 minutes, the Zoo 20 minutes away, and wineries 2 minutes away. We have have something to entertain everyone and every vacation interest.
Beach chairs, umbrella and sand toys for the little ones, spacious outdoor shower under the trees, screen house with electricity, water features, and bird watching right from your chair in the garden. Why the Owner Chose Cape May
It only took one visit to Townbank and we were hooked. You, too, will fall in love with this quaint family community of single homes on tree lined roads with some of the oldest and largest trees in South Jersey. The beaches are delightful with wildflowers, beach grasses, and plenty of beach glass and Cape May diamonds just there for the choosing. We fell in love with our cottage in the village of Townbank, bought it immediately, and have been working on it lovingly ever since. We love being there and so will you. You won't want to leave, I promise!
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
One of the very special things about our cottage is how close it is to wonderful shopping and the sightseeing of Cape May and Wildwood nightlife, yet far from the those maddening crowds. We have absolutely no problems with traffic, parking, or late night revelers. Only the crickets, cicadas and distant horn of the ferry will serenade you while you're star watching around the fire pit. Even if you're not a beach person, you can have nature take you away by just spending time in the shaded gardens. Our cottage is comfortably decorated with newer furnishings so you'll feel right at home. If you miss one of our world famous sunsets, don't worry, we have a beautiful 25' mural of a gorgeous sunset that you can see anytime-night or day. Come and spend your vacation in our paradise.
