This beautiful bungalow has four-bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths home and is right on the lake! Come any time of year and see breathtaking sunsets, walk the beach, or enjoy s'mores around the campfire enjoying the lake breeze.
This home is fully equipped (including linens) and ready for your relaxation. This home is perfect for families or groups of friends. The downstairs includes a dining room with views of the lake, a living room and a full galley-style kitchen. The first floor is completed by a large bedroom and a full bath.
Upstairs is a quiet retreat with three beautiful bedrooms - the master bedroom has a balcony facing the lake. The upstairs is completed with a full bath and a half. There is something wonderful about falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the water.
Many people come and seldom leave the lake. You can spend the day on the bank overlooking the lake or take a few steps down to your own private beach. This home is perfect for quiet relaxation, reading, and doing nothing at all!
However, Ashtabula County is a haven for travelers looking for an affordable family vacation site. While relaxing at our home you must discover the harbor district of Ashtabula with quaint shops, Maritime and Underground Railroad Museums, and views of the Ashtabula Harbor Light. Also nearby Geneva-on-the-Lake, features summer-time fun at this historic resort district, featuring amusement park rides, miniature golf, go-karts, waterslides, nostalgic dinners, and more. Inland discover the 16 covered bridges, both historic and new. Ashtabula County also produces over 65 percent of Ohio's grapes and has developed a hard-earned reputation for developing some outstanding domestic wines; sample them at our 18 wineries. And Cleveland is just an hour drive to enjoy museums, baseball, and more great sights.
Please give us a call. We would be happy to talk with you about this very special place!

House is very comfortable. Early 60's decor. No AC (wasn't a problem the week we were there). Double garage has been converted into a den. First floor bedroom has twin beds. Convertible couch in living room is a queen. Couch in garage converts to king size. Three upstairs bedrooms have queen beds. Two and a half bathrooms (half bath is off master bedroom). Basic cable TV (no ESPN, CNN etc). Huge yard, firepit, great lake view, walk down to the beach. Alesandros restaurant is a quarter mile down the road. It's excellent. State park lodge restaurant is very good too.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.
Owner response: As Douglas remarks...comfortable with a great decor! The two car garage has been converted into a family great room with plenty of seating and tables for everyone to eat a dinner together or play games around as the sun sets on our Great Lake Erie. With the wonderful breezes off Lake Erie having air conditioning in not needed and as for CNN & ESPN...your on vacation at the lake...turn off you cell phone and relax without the hastles that are sure to be awaiting you after your vacation! The Lakehurst Bungalow offers your family or group everything that is needed for a vacation you will never forget!

I will be leaving the Bungalow tomorrow morning after a wonderful week. The house had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. My friend is leaving for Wisconsin in a few months so we decided to have a "Bon Voyage" of sorts. She came with her 4 kids and I was here with mine and it was a fabulouse time from beginning to end. The kids loved searching for "sea glass" on the private beach and the older boys spent time just shooting hoops right in the drive way. There was plenty of space for the kids to play and relax. I can't even begin to do justice in describing the AMAZING views and even more amazing sunsets. Breath taking for sure. I spent a lot of time talking with Rick, one of the owners and I can't even say enough good things about him. He was personable and kind. He made every effort to see that our time here was enjoyable. I hope to be back again real soon. Thank you so much for a trip that will certainly be a favorite memory forever.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Lakehurst Bungalow is the perfect home for your family or group. I could not explain the property any better than Wendy! Great house, great yard, great private beach and sunsets that are the best in North America! Thank you Wendy and thank you to all of our guest...past, present and future!

Why the Owner Chose Geneva-on-the-Lake:
As partners, the Pearson's and the Trice's decided to purchase this property not to offer as a vacation rental property, but to someday build family homes on beautiful Lake Erie. In planning for some summer family lodging, we decided to offer up the property for others to enjoy the soft summer breezes and spectacular sunsets which occur all summer long.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This property is unique because it has been created to host our family during the summer, however we offer it to you and your family for you to also enjoy. This means that the decor and accommodations are prepared as our home not just any summer rental. You will enjoy all the amenities of home while at this summer retreat. Plenty of yard to play all the summer fun games and a beach with swimming that will thrill the child in everyone!
