Hi Jennifer, We just found your message this morning on the answering machine and wanted to let you know that we arrived safely and that everything is great. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you -- since our arrival we have been outside on the deck and around the firepit the whole time, so we must've missed your call. What a GREAT cabin you guys have!!! This is one of the best cabins (with the best setting) that we've rented, and we will definitely recommend it to our friends. This is the perfect cabin to relax in. Very nicely decorated and extremely comfortable. The owners have taken great care to make it feel like a home away from home. The firepit is located perfectly along the creek and we had a wonderful time sitting around listening to the creek and the fire cracking at night (we brought our own firewood). It is remote, yet convenient to many areas of interests (Murphy, Cherohala Highway, "The Dragon", etc). We saw lots of wildlife across the creek (3 deer and a fox). While in Murphy we visited The Daily Grind (coffee shop and bar with live music) and highly recommend it. We had a wonderful time and hope to be back in the future. An SUV or a 4 wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Thanks so very much for the 5 star review!! It really means so much! We do recommend to all our of our guests that an SUV or 4WD is recommended, although a regular truck would be ok too. If snow is a possibility, a 4WD is required. Pasenger cars are NOT recommended.

Don't even look any further if you are looking for a place to stay for a relaxing vacation! I searched and searched and could not find anything else like it. Right on the creek and with the most reviews and all positive! I knew it was going to be wonderful but didn't realize how wonderful until we arrived! I was able to completely book and pay for this cabin in one day. Previous places we have stayed at took at least a week with emails back and forth and no where near the professionalism or easy to follow information. Jennifer is absolutely wonderful! Everything was very professional but very personable! No hick ups what so ever! When we arrived we were so very pleased! Absolutely gorgeous inside and out! Property was very clean and the beds are so comfortable! We enjoyed scenic drives, walks and exploring the property, Fields in the Woods, Brothers Restaurant and most of all just relaxing by the creek roasting marshmallows and hotdogs! We have already started to plan when we will be able to come back!!! I would recommend this property to anyone and everyone that is looking for a cozy, comfortable, clean, tranquil, beautiful, awe inspiring get away! Thank you again so much for such a wonderful vacation and sharing you home so others can enjoy this beautiful slice of HEAVEN!!!!! A "WOW" moment when we arrived! The cabin setting is spectacular! The interior is beautifully decorated in the appropriate mountain style. Very comfy & cozy. The sounds of the creek & waterfalls were just what were looking for! So peaceful. We wished this was our personal getaway from home. Thanks so much for sharing it with us! We visited "Fields of the Wood" on Hwy 294. Awe inspiring! Don't miss it when visiting the area. Sitting by the campfire @ night, listening to the creek, roasting weiners & marshmellows was the highlight of our stay. My granddaughter & great-grandaughter had the time of their lives! They Loved the "Mountain Creek House". All the locals we met in the area were very friendly too. We would love to come back in the summertime & take a dip in the creek! We had such a wonderful time here! This was just the place we needed to escape from the stresses of everyday life & the non-stop commotion if living in a large city. To simply sit still & here nothing but the babbling creek & birds chirping was therapy itself. We've stayed in a few different cabins, but this is our favorite by far! Today is our 5 year wedding anniversary & we both agreed that we could not have found a better way to spend the day than sitting fireside by the rushing creek here @ Mystic Creek Cabin. We arrived late Sunday night after a long drive from Chicago to find "The Mystic Creek Cabin" inviting us in. The cabin is warm & cozy. Our son & daughter were so excited they woke very early to go play by the creek. We explore the creek & found the majestic waterfall just a short walk downstream & enjoyed the view. We hike a litllle further & found the beautiful gazebo. We did some more exploring & found some foot paths that took us down to the shore of the lake. We sat by the lake for a bit & enjoyed the peacefulness. We saw two or three dozen small mouth bass swimming around. I sure wished I had my pole. We had a nice cook out on the grill & later made a campfire & roasted marshmellows @ the creekside firepit under a clear night sky. We enjoyed the peacefulness & natural surroundings of the Mystic Creek Cabin so very much! We hope everyone has the same great experiences as we did.Did you find this review helpful?
