There are 3 master suites each with private bathrooms. Each opens to a terrace or garden. You'll find high ceilings, pasta tile floors and lots of architectural detail throughout.
The kitchen is made for serious cooking and entertaining with all the modern conveniences such as pressurized, softened and purified drinking water, ice maker, dishwasher, and microwave.
The back terrace features a gas grill cooking area overlooking the large pool and gardens. Beyond the pool is an outdoor gym and pool bath.

Merida is one of the cleanest, friendliest, safest, and best-managed cities we've found in Latin America. The Mayan culture is still very much alive here, and it makes this area completely unique. It's also just a 30-minute drive on modern, divided highway to the Gulf Coast beaches at Progreso. Chichen Itza, Uxmal, and other world-class Mayan historical sites are day trips from Merida. And the international airport makes travel easy... we're just 90 minutes from Miami, two hours from Houston.

We're natives of Omaha, Nebraska, who have lived throughout Latin America since 2001. Our work has taken us to Ecuador, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Belize among other places, (we are editors with International Living magazine) but Merida is truly a unique place, and it's where we decided to make our home. We still travel during the summer and throughout the year, however, and we look forward to sharing the special place we created in Merida with those of you who will enjoy it as much as we do.
