Our lovely cottage features a screened porch which overlooks a beautiful wooded lot.
The full kitchen is open to the spacious living area. Large windows and a stacked stone fireplace are two fantastic focal points to be enjoyed in the living area. A sweet front porch is a welcoming entry-way to the home.
For nature lovers, the best part is access to the nature trails. A soothing waterfall is just a 10 minute walk away. The miles of hiking trails will take you to multiple water falls and to the amenities.
The amenities are a kid's heaven. Two salt water pools, fields, a playground, fishing, canoes, paddle boats, a lake with a sandy beach and best of all...the rock slide that even adults cannot resist are located with fabulous mountain views.
There is plenty of entertainment for golfers, fitness fanatics and tennis players, as well: 3 nine-hole courses, tennis courts galore, a large, well-equipped fitness center with indoor pool and massage therapists.

We stayed in this adorable cabin for a late summer getaway. The owner was so sweet and accommodating. As another poster said, the pictures do not do justice to this little home. The setting is so peaceful and the location to the hiking trails was great. There was plenty of space for my family of 4 as well as when we had 5 guests come over for an afternoon visit. The kitchen was very well supplied with everything I needed. The sleeping porch was a wonderful bonus. We spent a lot of time on it. I liked the owner's decorating style so much, that I even brought some of her ideas home to my own house. Still looking for that Mad Housewife wine bottle light!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+.

We rented this great cabin in Big Canoe for a week, and had a fantastic time relaxing in the woods. The house is nicer than the pictures indicate, and we found it to be very well stocked. There is a great daybed on the screened-in porch for those lazy afternoon naps. The fireplace is very nice, and provided a great way to warm up on a chilly evening. There are some great hiking trails within walking distance of the cabin where you can see some beautiful, small waterfalls. The location is tranquil and peaceful, and there were only a few cars a day that would drive past the house. The kitchen was very well stocked, and the house has wireless internet, which was extremely helpful to us. The owners seem very involved, and clearly take pride in their comfortable and wonderful house. We would absolutely recommend staying here, and look forward to visiting again ourselves.

This house is in a beautiful wooded area, on a large, private lot, with deer sightings and near a great hiking trail with waterfalls. The owner has furnished the house with all the comforts of home - stylishly decorated, with comfortable beds, stacked stone fireplace and a well equipped kitchen. There is also a lovely screened porch and deck with grill. I highly recommend a visit!
