Welcome to Swan Point Lodge on Cedar Island, North Carolina, the Gateway to the Outer Banks. Cedar Island is renowned for the Red Drum and the great fishing that it has every year. The Lodge has its own private ramp located right next to the building that allows quick access to the excellent waters of North Bay.
The house is huge with Six Bedrooms, a large living area, a den, a large kitchen and two and a half bathrooms. Bring your friends and enjoy a house that provides an amazing amount of privacy and tranquility. The house is located just a short walk from the local variety store, Island's Choice, with offers groceries, hardware, marine supplies, ice cream, slushies, fresh coffee in the morning and outstanding hotdogs for lunch. The lodge is also located one mile from the Cedar Island Ferry, which carries passenger to the outer banks, and the local beaches.

Our large family stayed here over July 4th 2 years ago and had a great time. It was nice to get out of the hustle and bustle of the busy beach life and enjoy the quiet serenity of the coast. The beach is close and private that we visited it daily. The local store had everything you need but Beaufort and Morehead City are close enough for any 'emergencies'. Great home with lots of room. We would stay again!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

About the owner: Our names are Sherman and Velvet Goodwin. We have lived on Cedar Island all our lives. We own the local variety store that is stocked with many items, such as groceries, hardware, and trinkets in our gift shop. Sherman is a Captain on the Cedar Island Ferry that takes you to the outer banks and Velvet is the mail carrier for the island.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
the lodge is about one mile from the ferry and is within walking distance of the local store. It is located right on the water with a beautiful view of the sunset.
