Rafael & Norberto - Thank you so very much for your hospitality during our short stay at the beautiful Villa Sol y Luna. What an amazing place - the home and grounds are brilliantly designed and meticulously maintained, feeling expansive and intimate at the same time. We truly felt 'at home' in this amazing place. Chef Ismael and his capable crew impressed us at every meal - and this is no small task, given that the group is comprised of food & wine professionals! Pedro and the Villa staff worked tirelessly but almost invisibly - they were there to fulfill every request and meet every need, but were never obtrusive. We got so much more than we expected during our stay! I take this group on a weekend trip to Mexico every year - we've usually stayed at all-inclusive resorts in Playa del Carmen or Puerto Vallarta. This trip was far more impressive and much more conducive to a group experience. We could not have been more pleased with our stay at your beautiful Villa and I am grateful for all that Norberto, Ismael and the rest of the staff did to make us feel so very welcome. Best regards - James Lewis Denver, Colorado, USA

The house served all our needs - our 5 granddaughters shared Arena - and had a pyjama party every night! We had trouble getting enough towels for that room. The beach and water toys were a big hit. The pool was a bit cold(a heater there would be nice!) Ismael and his staff made wonderful meals, drinks, and accommodated us wherever we wanted to eat. Our special occasions - two birthdays and New Year's Eve - were truly special. On the last evening(after most of the wind had died down), Pedro lit a bonfire on the beach and we toasted marshmallows and sat around until late in the evening. The family loved the house and the surrounds and the proximity of the beach. They agreed the reunion was a big success!

Hello Rafael, I wanted to add our thanks for a wonderful holiday at your beautiful Casa Sol Y Luna. With many of our family scattered far and wide, it was a wonderful place to gather and celebrate my husband's 70th birthday, in addition to our daughter Cydney and son in law Eugene's birthday on the 29th, the morning that the turtles hatched and made their difficult journey to the sea. The staff that you have were exceptional! What treasures you have found. We constantly marveled at the creations presented to us for each of our meals by Ismael, and his associates Fernando and Maria. Loyda and Alba were also wonderful and totally attentive to our needs and Pedro went out of his way to get coconuts for the children to sample "real" coconut milk. Everyone was so friendly - it was a delight to have them around. And then there was Nicholaza- wonderfully accepting of all of the children who wanted to take her home at the end of our holiday We are all animal lovers, so she was wonderful to have around and she even enjoyed a couple of walks down the beach with me and my husband in the early morning. Again many thanks. I am so happy that we found your wonderful place where we could bring our increasingly large family. Getting together with our five daughters, their spouses and ten grandchildren under 9 is not always easy but Casa Sol Y Luna made it not only easy but carefree We will hope to return one day! Again many thanks and I think I can safely say that I echo the sentiments of all our family.

Hello Rafael, Thank you for following up - it was on my list to send you a note to tell you how wonderful the staff and the property were. We had a wonderful, marvelous holiday, and enjoyed our stay greatly. Nicolaza was absolutely not a nuisance - she is a very charming dog! Ismael, Fernando and Maria were fantastic in the kitchen - every meal was stunning, and they were so friendly, pleasant and helpful, we enjoyed their cooking and their presence. Norberto was very helpful, and Pedro, Alba and Lloyda were also so nice and helpful. We felt like we were at home. I am sorry - it sounds like we may have missed you on the Saturday - I got a cake with the message that it was from the 'duena' which I think means you, but I may have misunderstood...My spanish is not nearly so good as I hoped it would be! My one comment is that the children on the lower floor had several nights with many mosquitos in the room - once we learned to remind them to keep their doors shut at all times, the problem seemed to be much less, but I don't know if there might be a better solution. We will hope to come back again, and will certainly recommend the property to our friends! warm regards, Jacquie

Villa Sol y Luna was the perfect spot for our destination wedding. We housed all of the wedding party and families. We had a wonderful time on the beach, enjoying the gorgeous turquoise water and white sand beach! And, our wedding on the beach was beautiful! Couldn't have asked for a better, easier, more relaxing spot!

"Excellent, friendly and warm staff. The superb accommodation made our family vacation a memory to last forever. Sol y Luna was perfect even for such a large group. ( 20 guests) Everyone had their own space and it was suitable for all ages. The chef service was incredible, it really was one of the highlights - as no-one was on duty.... only on vacation. Special thanks to the nanny/house keeper who made life even easier and our boys loved them"

Rafael y Noberto, I just wanted to sent you a note to tell you how unbelievably thankful we are for the facilities and services you provided us during our stay at Villa Sol y Luna (Jan 17 - 24). Our wedding day and week was truly magical and I don't think we could have asked for anything more. Although I'm sure you hear this frequently, the on site staff (Pedro, Loida, y Alba) were unbelievable and great! I know that everyone had fun drinking Pedro's coconuts and learning Mayan from him. We really enjoyed the bonfire as well. Well, we just enjoyed everything. I am also thankful that they were able to enjoy some of the wedding festivities for all the hard work that they put in! There will never be enough words to express what great people they are! ( I hope they liked our tip swan!!!!!) I'm sure that we will keep your property in mind for future vacations....there's just so much to love! I know that you have some wedding pics posted to the website. I have uploaded all of our professional photography photos to mdeltondo.shutterfly.com

It's roomy , very well cared for, a safe Villa , and has everything anyone would want in a vacation. They have beach towels, pool toys, beach toys, lounge chairs, sea kayaks, hammocks, stereos, etc. Overall, we were just so happy to be on a beautiful private beach, with our own pool and cooking staff, that we hardly left the house, except for a few excursions into Playa del Carmen for shopping (20 mins away) and Tulum for Mayan ruins (1 hour south). All in all I hardily recommend it.

This house is fantastic. We had a group of 12 stay in October 2004 - the service is awesome, the private area and the accomodations are superb. Rafael is very nice and made sure our stay was wonderful. Angela is a wonderful cook and made sure there was something for everyone in our group. A marvelous trip that I will never forget - and we plan to go back every year if we can.

Casa Sol y Luna is aptly named. The most amazing fool moon was visible from our balcony last night, reflecting a silver luna path on the ocean. Each morninh we woke up to the warm sun and enjoyed refreshing swims in the turquose ocean. The spacious villa met all our needs. We especially would like to thank Amarente , Jesus and Zoila for their kindness to my family.Thank you for the wonderful memories at Casa Sol y Luna. My parents 50th wedding anniverary will be treasured for years to come. We can not wait to return to this little piece of heaven again !!
