We are all foodies so this was the perfect place. We took cooking classes, went to Oxford Market, farmers markets, cheese makers, did a food crawl and of course many wine tastings. We loved the kitchen as it was great to cook in. Everything we needed with nice appliances, All new and many pot and pans. We really appreciated all the tips on best places to shop. The estate is the only place we will return to in the Wine Country.

Our family had a wonderful experience at the Estate. It was more than we could hope for. Even though the weather was cool we loved the 2 fireplaces with your generous unlimited supply of firewood. I have stayed at other rentals where you were expected to buy your own wood. What a great spot to sip our wine we had purchased that day by the evening fire. Everything was just wonderful and we hope to return in the fall.

I recently stayed at the property for a girls' weekend with some friends. The house itself was a bit dated and didn't have the amenities (kitchen equipment), etc...for the price. The pool area was lovely but the rest of the property seemed neglected. It is quite a way from Sonoma so is great if you want seclusion, but quite a drive from vineyards, town, etc...The property manager was difficult to work with, lost payments, unorganized, etc...Would not recommend.

Erica we had a great stay and loved the time were able to spend outdoors. The ladies in our group had massages by the pool with the spa services from Napa and the guys watched sports on the big screen t.v. plus played ping pong and basketball. We won't mention all the wine tastings! Definitely would recommend the estate!

My stay here was for a ladies' getaway weekend. This was the 1st time I ever used VRBO. The house was fantastic. We all loved the pool area. We ventured into downtown Sonoma one day, but could have easily happily spent the entire weekend on the property. We made great use of the kitchen which had great appliances and plenty of cooking utensils. I definitely would stay here again and some of the ladies I was with would like to go back again sometime.

We loved the Villa and all it has to offer. We had 5 couples and everyone had one of the trips of their life. The beauty of the estate is inspiring and it is very easy to relax, unwind and enjoy wine. The estate is quite large and with our 10 guests we had a lot of space to our own. We love the country French kitchen with huge deck to dine on. There is so much to explore in the Wine Country including many tasting rooms, farmer’s markets, exceptional restaurants, galleries and boutique shopping. Our group can’t wait for our return trip to try all the spots we weren’t able to visit. Thanks again for an amazing experience.

Wine County Paradise

As we drove through the beautiful vineyards, we were all wondering what the villa we rented would be like. The maps that were sent to us were easy to read, and they also gave us a short-cut that our navigation system did not have. As we approached the villa we saw a three-tier waterfall and we knew we were home. The electronic gate opened for us and we saw another waterfall and the boutique vineyard. I felt as if we had arrived in Europe. We entered into the villa and found all our rooms decorated with lovely linens and bedding. We wanted to open a bottle of wine and head to the pool area to celebrate our arrival. If was getting dark and we wondered if the pool area would be lit. As we entered into the pool pavilion a beautiful light-show surrounded us. Needless to say the rest of the trip was fabulous from beginning to end. We look forward to many return trips.

Romantic Wine Country Villa

We were looking for a romantic villa for a couples wine tasting weekend plus a home we could bring the rest of our family to. We certainly found it in the “Estate to Remember”. My husband and I stayed in the 4-poster bedroom that overlooks the 3-tier waterfall fountain. It was just Beautiful. We wine tasted while our family and friends lounged around the pool and enjoyed completely laid back weekend. It was so close to restaurants, wineries, spas and shopping. We wished we could have stayed longer. Many thanks for letting us rent your beautiful wine country retreat.

I stayed at this home with 11 other women and sadly 2 of us had to either sleep on the couch or the floor. And that's not even the worst part...THERE IS NO CENTRAL HEATING!!! This should be known. The space heaters provided do not create enough heat to make you comfortable! So with temperatures in the 40's we were freezing! Oh and to top it off, the ovens don't work well, so make sure that you double the cooking time. I would not recommend staying here and beware of the lady who rents out the home...she's great to work with if there are no problems, but if there are do not expect to ever hear from her again! Extremely unprofessional!!

A friend of mine, a fellow member of our garden enthusiasts club, expressed her delightful experience she had in the summer of 2009. She told me about the Villa her group of garden lovers found in the heart of the wine country. Her photos of the villa she sent me were very enticing and I made a reservation in 2010 for January 2011. My Friends and I made the trip in early January and when we arrived we were astonished at the beauty her photos missed as impressive as they were they did not capture the extent of existing natural beauty. As we arrived at the front gate and were greeted by a large stone fountain and agave lined walls and Monterey pines that soared into the clear blue sky I was about to find out why I had been told about the property for the last couple of years. To my immediate left and nestled near the villa and to the creek sat the chardonnay vineyard. Strolling down to the pool was a bank of stonework flower planters, which lined both sides of the driveway. In front of the villa was natural stone tiered waterfall fountain lined ivy. The stone front of the villa filled with window flower boxes with geranium's and miniature cactus. This reminds me of my time spent in the French countryside. Down the walkway beautiful towering laurel trees tower over the creek side offered utmost privacy. Further down the long pebble driveway I arrived at what could be only considered a spectacular garden, pool and spa compound. I felt as I had arrived in the wine country tropics. Palm trees, fern palms, Washington palms, Mediterranean palms agaves in different varieties mixed with many different varieties of cactus. Terraced walkways meander up and down and around the swimming pool and spa. Honeysuckles lined the south wall with pink and white oleander lining the back of the pool dining area. The whole pool pavilion is surrounded with annual and parental flowers begonias, peonies perennials line the flower boxes. The pool house is covered with trumpet vines, morning glories, and numerous succulents. This is where you never want to eave. Needless to the stay, the villa itself it also exceptional. Unfortunately we did have to leave- but there is always be another time. Any garden lover like me should not wait as long as I did after I was told about the property!

A Vacation to Remember - Unfortunately

We rented the "villa" for 4 nights during Thanksgiving of 2010. It was not a comfortable experience as the house has no central heating and is dependent for comfort on inadequate space heaters. We were unable to use the living room at all as the drafty fireplace and 2 space heaters were not able to raise the temperature above 60deg. Although the 4 bedrooms were ok and warm enough, we had to huddle in the dining room and kitchen for most of the stay. The kitchen is old and poorly equipped and the family room is a remodeled garage with no windows, old furniture and a VCR that 4 men couldn't get to work. You can seat 8 in front of the old TV in the family room and that extra sleeping area is a curtained off alcove at the end of the family room. We did not have a comfortable stay. The location was fine and the grounds are quite beautiful, especially the pool area. However, if the weather is chilly, beware!!

What a beautiful villa for our first trip to the Wine Country. Three couples and my husband and I enjoyed the Villa more than we can imagine. We had many wine country tours and wished we could have spent more time at the estate. The caretaker being born and raised in the area and could not have been more helpful. We have recommended the property to all our friends and look forward to returning this year. Hope it’s not booked up!

My husband and I traveled from Europe in our third to the Wine Country. We can overwhelmingly say this was the best time we ever had. The property was lovingly maintained with the feel of European Villa¬. Wonderful décor and atmosphere. Although the Villa is quite large just the two of us felt like home. The Chef who came to cook at the villa was amazing and even taught us a few cooking lessons. Having a vacation rental with it’s own boutique vineyard was a first for us. The staff was more than accommodating. We look forward to staying at the estate on our trip to the Wine Country.

I stayed at this property w/ 7 other friends and the place was truly wonderful. A great setting surrounded by a lush forrest with a little creek. The house comes equipped with everything. The pool and jacuzzi area are great for relaxing. Relatively close to everything. Great wine tasting experience which we highly recommend.

8 guys in the Wine Country. We came for golf but ended up Wine tasting too. We couldn’t say enough about the wonderful with every need or the helpfulness of Erica in the planning. She looked up every golf course in Northern California with notes, tee times and ratings. The information on wineries was great too. They set the Villa up just for us so we each had our own bed. Fabulous BBQ down by the pool. Great Villa located near wineries, restaurants, spas and of course golf.

I stayed at this home with 10 other women for 3 nights. It was absolutely gorgeous! It truly is a villa. The outdoor area is exceptional--there is a gorgeous pool and hot tub. There is also a grill if you decide you would like to have a BBQ. The house itself is very large--3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms upstairs, 1 bathroom on the main level (no tub/shower) and 2 bedrooms/1 bathroom downstairs. They also have the option of bringing a roll-away double bed or futon. They provide you with 2 towels per person and hair dryers. If you are planning on staying for a long time, there is a washer and dryer available. The decor is a little outdated but that did not bother me. If you are there with a large party, the kitchen is a little tight but only if you are all hanging out there (we know women tend to congregate there!). The house is located up in the hills among other beautiful properties. It is approximately a 7 minute drive (at most) into downtown Sonoma, where there is a Safeway grocery store and many other amenities. We rented a limo bus for a wine tour one day and had a blast! I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Our daughter in law was getting married at the Carneros Inn. We were fortunate to find this Villa For our family. All of the other guests were jealous, as the Hotel they were staying in weren’t quite as beautiful. We plan to return next fall for the crush and look forward to our next stay at the Villa.

We have heard from all our friends in the Bay Area this was the place for Wine Tatsing/Bachelorette. They were right. We had spa services recommended by Erica come to the Villa. It was a dream to have a massage outside by the pool. What can I say about the lights at the pool at night? Awesome! We hope to come back soon.
