This cozy lakefront home (7612 SE Torch Lake Drive, Alden, MI) is on one + acres of prime lakefront property and centrally located on the southeast side of Torch Lake. The cottage is 1 mile south of Clam River, 4 miles north of Alden, 8 miles from Torch River Bridge/the sandbar (10 minutes by boat) and 30 minutes from Traverse City. The private, deeply-wooded lot, with 80’ of private sandy beach and 550’ of backyard, guarantees seclusion and privacy. Enjoy the pleasures of the lake or the serenity of the natural surroundings.
ACCOMMODATIONS: Waterfront Cottage – queen – double – 2 twin beds- bath (sleeps 6). No more than six people and one boat - strictly enforced - no exceptions.
TORCH LAKE: Torch Lake is ranked the third most beautiful lake in the world by National Geographic and for those who have visited it before, it is without a doubt, the Eighth Wonder of the World. INDOORS: The charming 1300 sq. ft. home-away-from-home offers comfortable accommodations in a beautiful, one-of-a-kind natural setting and separated by wooded areas with private drive and garage (set up for inside dining, play area, giving you additional living space and recreation). The cottage is done in gorgeous knotty pine, giving you that “up north” feeling. There are three bedrooms (one queen, one double and two twin beds), fans, and air cleaners in each bedroom to keep you allergy free. A full bath/shower, complete kitchen facilities, dining, living room with fireplace, sunroom, lakefront deck, TV, VCR, DVD, radio, phone (local only), and additional electrical outlets at both the shed and waterfront deck (a spacious 15’ x 20’).
FUN IN THE SUN: 80 feet of private sandy beach, with 60 feet of dock, buoy for mooring watercraft, fire pit, swing, and waterfront deck offering gorgeous viewing and sunsets. Weber barbecue grill, and outside patio for dining with table, chairs and umbrella, floats and lounge chairs. Ample parking for vehicles and boat trailers. Public launch facilities are conveniently located nearby.
CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT: Our rentals are from Saturday to Saturday. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. with check-out at 10:00 a.m. Sorry, no exceptions in order to guarantee ample time to prepare for the incoming guests.
PETS/SMOKING: Sorry, no pets. This is a non-smoking residence. Smoking permitted outside only, with proper disposal of smoking materials.
