  The condo was just as described on the website and the accomodations were excellent. Our family was very comfortable there and really had a relaxing time with plenty of room to hang out. The staff at Palmas Del Mar was very pleasant and very helpful with information on places to see and directions on how to get there and the property was very secure. The grounds were sparkling and well kept and the eating establishments on site were tremendous. During our stay there were some pretty good storms popping up and the grounds and pool areas showed no signs of debris. We felt safe and secure in the condo and had plenty to keep us busy. This location was close to major expressways and shopping and the views of surrounding areas were awesome.This was our first trip to Puerto Rico and I have no problem recommending this property to friends and family. We plan on going back soon.

  The unit is as pictured , the beds where devine and everything listed was delivered. You could really upgrade the kitchen appliances they are quite old, and putting a sign stating that the icemaker is brokern and how to make it work does not make it better. We tried to get beach club passes but where told by the rental company that these are not available on weekends and for weekdays they have to be asked for before checking in. The tv in the master bedroom was broken it will not stay on. And on the last day it rained and the upstairs bedroom with the lighthouses got flooded and our belongings got wet. Overall it was ok.

  Owner response: Thank you for your feedback and I am glad that you found our townhome as pictured. We also love the beds! The Beach Club is under new management and I will clarify the process regarding the passes for future guests. We will address the TV and the ice maker ASAP. We provide a 24 hour property management service as well as our home and cell numbers so that if an emergency occurs like flooding, we can respond to this immediately. We were there prior to your visit and did not experience any issues with leaks or flooding the few times it rained. However, we will gladly have our property manager investigate this immediately.

  the condo is older but was in good shape. the only thing that we had problems with was the little bugs crawling all over the kitchen counter getting into our food. the pool is not very well maintained. the water was not very clear and stuff floating in the water. overall we had a good time.

  Owner response: Thank you so much for your feedback. We will ensure the unit is continuing to be exterminated monthly as scheduled. During the warmest months we have also seen the tiny ants that you describe when one of our of our teenagers has inadvertently left food out on the counter overnight. Otherwise, we have never had any issues. I am very surprised to read your comments about the pool. Palmas prides itself on keeping all the grounds in immaculate condition. We were there ourselves soon after your stay and the pool was sparkling. Please see our picture on the website which was uploaded since your visit.

  For the last 10 years or so our family and the Dominguez family have enjoyed bi-annual Spring Break beach trips together. This year we spent the week in sunny Puerto Rico--and it was a great trip! This condo was exactly as described and truly steps from the beach. It’s on the second floor with a beach view between two condos. The breeze is steady and our weather was sunny and pleasant the whole trip. We had plenty of room to enjoy our meals together in the dining/living room area. At night the kids could find play areas such as the loft. We’d sit on the back balcony in the mornings to photograph iguanas sunning on the golf course. The wireless internet was a nice perk for all our wi-fi enabled devices. The cable service had plenty of channels but, honestly, we hardly watched TV. Our kids were in the surf every chance they could get! There was a washer and dryer on the first floor so we were able to wash clothes, towels and things as the week went along. We also left behind a couple of books and a few magazines we finished while there to add to the small library. Palmas Del Mar is in Humacao on the east of the island and there are several shopping and restaurant choices within a few miles including a super WalMart and a Ralph’s. Also, since we had a rental car, we were able to make day trips from here. We spent day 2 visiting the El Yunque National Forest, swam in the La Mina Falls and climbed the Yokahu Tower. On day 4 we went to both the Arecibo Observatory and the El Camuy Caverns. On day 5 we toured historic old San Juan including El Morro and Castillo de San Cristobal. Two other things worth mentioning: (1) English is commonly spoken, especially those places who serve travelers (retail, restaurants, tourist attractions, etc) so no problem if you don't speak Spanish. (2) Rental cars use the “express” lane—but you don’t have one of those sensors so it always honks and flashes red. That’s normal it seems. After your trip the toll charges are added up and you get a separate charge to your credit card for them from your rental company. A week’s worth driving for us was $22.70 (not a guarantee, your charges may vary). Lastly, this trip was both a nice change from vacationing in the continental U.S.—and definitely an adventure for the day trips we took while there. But even if you just want surf and sand, it’s hard to beat what this condo has to offer. If you are traveling to Puerto Rico and want a nice place to stay, I highly recommend this one!

  My family of 5 stayed in this condo for over 3 weeks in June and we had a great time. The condo was clean and comfortable and my kids had plenty of room to spread out. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the beach across the street. We also enjoyed the neighboring pool. We don’t golf, but the course behind the condo looked very nice and we saw many people playing there daily. Our family recommended this condo to others staying in the area. The Owner was also pleasant and easy to work with. Enjoy!

  Beautiful, clean, fully furnished muliti level/condo. Just steps from the beach and a pool:) My husband, 3 daughters and I had a blast. Definitely recommend; wish we could have stayed longer.

  Although this unit is very close to the beach, which is lovely, and the pool is also a great feature, I have to write that the unit itself is quite old. I believe that these villas were some of the original villas to Palmas and the unit is truly showing its age. We were disappointed with holes in the ceiling and walls, window levers that had fallen to the floor, furniture with chips, and other structural details that needed repair. It sounds from the description that some changes have been made to this unit, which I hope will improve other travelers' stays.

  Owner response: We welcome all feedback as we are always trying to find ways to make our home a better experience for other families. The window lever and other cosmetic concerns were addressed immediately and the unit was completely repainted soon afterward. Given that we do not live on site we appreciate when any of our guests take the time to give us timely feedback.

  On our first visit to Puerto Rico we couldn't have found a better property! The Palmas Del Mar property was everything described on VRBO & more! Spacious, clean, comfortable & absolutely beautiful views! Great ammenities made our vacation complete! After vacationing to many beach propertys we found it to be a great deal for an exotic destination. One of our favorite photos was literally taken off the deck looking out onto the crystal blue Puerto Rican water! We vacationed with our teenagers and their friends and we were pleased to have plenty of space & lots of activities to please us all. My husband was immediately taken by how diligent the grounds crew worked to maintain the entire property, I believe he was wishing he could take them home with us! We enjoyed many of the delicous local restaurants after taking in the sun all day. It was a treat to be able to taste the local flavor without leaving the property. Amazing vacation, can't wait to get back to our new slice of paradise!!

  We stayed at this condo for 2 weeks and had a fabulous time. The community (Beach Villages) was very well maintained with excellent security. The condo is about a 2 minute walk to the pool and the beach - we made good use of both and loved the close proximity to both areas. The condo was clean, spacious and comfortable. The condo is within walking distance to the hotel which offers a casino, restaurant, coffee/sundry shop. The Flying Pizza in the village was surprisingly good! The condo owner had created a book with recommendations for eating, recreation and points of interest which proved to be very helpful. We had a great visit and would highly recommend this property.

  I went to this beautiful condo in Puerto Rico with family and friends. I love how close the condo was to the beach and the pool. The condo was very nice and comfortable. We had plenty of room for everyone and really enjoyed the layout of the condo. The beach is absolutely breathtaking especially at sunset. The condo is located near the city and there are so many things to do and see in Puerto Rico. If you are looking for a fun place to go with family and friends this is a perfect spot.
