Hawk’s Nest is the perfect home for the large group desiring to stay “on the beach.” Located just behind an expanse of low dunes and adjacent to the Grayton Beach public beach access, Hawk’s Nest is 3,000 square feet of coastal comfort and beachfront convenience for up to 14 guests, with fabulous views of the turquoise Gulf of Mexico from every level. If additional accommodations are needed for even larger parties, the 4,000-square-foot Hawk’s Landing is located 100 yards away and offers comfortable accommodations for up to 20 guests, plus private pool. Guests reserving both homes are eligible for a discount.
Recently renovated, this upscale 4-story beach house is wrapped in deep balconies on its south and east sides and includes 1,000 square feet of covered area at ground level - all affording unparalleled views of the gulf just beyond. Two outdoor showers on the lanai’s north side keep the sand outside. Living areas on the second, third and fourth levels provide an exceptional experience for guests. Grayton Beach landmark The Red Bar is located just one block north.
Hawk’s Nest guests enter at ground level to an indoor stairway leading to three carpeted bedrooms on the second floor. The first bedroom, furnished with king bed, has gulf views and balcony access through glass doors, and private bath with walk-in tiled shower finished with frameless glass enclosure. The 4-foot wide single vanity sports a granite countertop over white raised-panel cabinet. Adjacent to this bedroom is a queen bedroom, also with gulf views and balcony access, and featuring a dressing area including closet and single vanity of granite and natural wood. The bath - equipped with combination tub/shower, toilet and single vanity - is shared with this floor’s third bedroom, furnished with two sets of twin bunkbeds.
The home’s gathering area encompasses the entire third floor, and features large picture windows framing the sugar-white sand and gulf waters beyond. A pair of glass doors on each end of the south wall provide access to the deep, inviting wrap-around balcony. The renovated kitchen is equipped with warm wood cabinets, granite countertops, 2 refrigerator/freezers, electric range/oven, microwave, dishwasher and icemaker. There is also a large pantry and laundry closet with full-size washer and dryer. There is seating for 16 diners, including a dining table for 8, a games/dining table for 4 and bar seating for 4. Upholstered seating is arranged to take advantage of both gulf and TV views, and includes a sleeper sofa, chaise sofa and 3 chairs. Entertainment includes a TV, plus DVD and CD players. A half-bath is conveniently located off the stair landing.
Located on the fourth floor’s gulf side, the carpeted master bedroom – furnished with king bed and sitting area - enjoys private access to this level’s balcony with stunning views of Western Lake and the gulf. Luxuriously appointed and finished in tones of sage and gold, the private bath features a deep soaking tub under a big picture window (with privacy shade) and huge tiled walk-in shower with dual showerheads and built-in seat. There is a private water closet and wide dual granite-topped vanity. An additional bedroom on the home’s north side is furnished with a queen bed and has a private bath with combination tub/shower and single granite-topped vanity.
Three air conditioning units keep each floor cool, and two water heaters ensure a generous supply of hot water.
Grayton Beach is one of the Beaches of South Walton, encompassing 26 miles of pristine coastline. It is the only destination in the country to have its entire coastline certified as “Blue Wave” by the Clean Beaches Council for it commitment to maintaining unspoiled shoreline and natural habitat.

This and several other quaint shopping and dining options are within easy walking distance of both Hawk’s Nest and Hawk’s Landing.
