This is a very unique and relaxing place that promotes togetherness while at the same time offers a wonderful sense of privacy. The main house is the meeting place, with fully equipped kitchen, dining and living rooms which are extremely comfortable. There are also large covered porches and a rooftop deck for sunsets. Nothing has been overlooked in terms of the kitchen or living spaces, we were extremely comfortable. There is high speed internet and Direct TV, too. Then there are 2 separate houses, 1 with 3 bedrooms (2 with kings, 1 with 2 twins) and 2 individual cottage/suites closer to the ocean, all of which rival anything you will find at a luxury resort. We had 2 families, with 4 teens, the kids shared the big house and the adults took the 2 cottages, which have lounge chairs on their decks with ocean views. There is a path to the beach where there is a shed with chairs, umbrellas, rafts, fishing and snorkeling gear. The beach is what you would expect, the water is incredibly clear and blue. There a also reefs a short walk down the beach or if you are adventurous, a short swim away. There is a bar and beachfront restaurant, Tippy's, which is a 15 minute walk down the beach. (walk home from there at night on the beach to see more stars than you can ever imagine) we rode the bikes, played tennis (there are racquets but bring your own if you're a player) There is daily made service and the property manager is always responsive and available. When our blender broke we had a new one in hours, we needed tennis balls, again right away. Eluethera is a quite island, so don't expect much nightlife but the local Do: go to Tippy''s and The Beach House (Mon and Thurs), which are both very close and very friendly. Go to the Friday night Fish fry in Governor's Harbor Go to Harbor island, leave early and spend the day there, cruise around on a golf cart then go up Chapel st. to Pink Sand beach between Pink Sands and Coral Sands resorts, have lunch at Sip-Sip. Enjoy!!!

There's a saying on the island "Tied Goat Don't Know How Loose Goat Feels". Here you will find out for yourself how a loose goat feels! As others have written, the property is outstanding as is everyone associated with it along the way. You'll be doing yourself a favour by choosing Tir Na Nog.

Tir Na Nog is the ultimate overall ocean beach vacation; providing the best that Eleuthera and the Bahamas offers. Very private, pristine, and beautiful tropical nature surrounds the visitor. I can't think of any place that I rather spend my beach vacation. I love it there!

We love Tir Na Nog! It is the best place in the world for a beach/ocean vacation. The house and bedrooms are amazingly lovely and comfortable. The beach is the most beautiful we know of anywhere, and is very private and untouched. You can walk or run for several miles along it, and see very few other people, but you might see turtles, fish, and dolphins. We snorkeled, swam, and fished right from the beach, and read, napped, and picnicked in the rustic palapa. Tippy's and The Beach House have great restaurants and bars within a half-mile, and the new Leon Levy Nature Preserve is practically across the street. Tir Na Nog is our idea of paradise.

To say that Tir Na N'og is a stunning slice of heaven would be an understatement. Everything here is magical, from the pink sands beach to the lovely coral reefs to the comfortable and elegant home. Its private without feeling too isolated, and a short beach walk to two really wonderful restaurants. I am counting the days until we are able to return! Thank you!! H. Chamberlain

No second thoughts regarding this place! The house, the surroundngs, the beach, the garden, yes everything is just awsome. Strangely enough, the size of the estate is probably the only issue - it is almost to big! Because of the size it takes some time to get from the house and down to the beach, but on the other hand you really get a feeling of exclusiveness. The Beachhouse and the Cabanas were so nice to have - just lying in the hammock, overlooking the beach and the Atlantic ocean accompanied by a gentle breeze and with a soothing drink in your hand... I'm already wanting to get back! The beach is the best you can get, and practically deserted. The snorkeling is also great; followed a ray for a long time, swimming along with a barracuda and just 50-100 m off the beach you have great corals to experience the immense variety and colorful sea life from. The tennis court was great to have, but since we were here in July, we only used it in the mornings when the temperature wasn't to high. The main house was really nice, but personally I probably would have built the kitchen a bit bigger. It's a one-mans working space :) The Sleeping houses were also of very high standard; the beach cottages overviewing the ocean were our favourites! Of all places we have been vacationing throughout the last 25 years, this is highest on the list of the places we want to return to!

Can't recommend this place highly enough. Have been twice now, once with my two young boys and once with a group of friends. A visit to Tir Na Nog is something everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime - a real piece of heaven on earth. You wake up every morning to that picture perfect vista, with a vast expanse of tropical water as your swimming pool and an endless sandy beach as your personal playground. What could be more perfect. Definitely hope to get back again next year.

We were fortunate as to have stayed at Tir Na Nog this past April and experienced the most perfect vacation that a family could have asked for. Pure natural beauty mixed with impeccable taste made for an incredible experience. We hope to be able to return again as our young children remember Tir Na Nog as the place where we had "the best vacation ever!" and their parents wholeheartedly agree!

The property is the perfect place to unwind, relax and get away from it all. The interiors are the perfect combination of the functional and elegant colonial chic. It is the ideal place to re-charge your batteries. Waking up in the bungalows and seeing the coastline marked by palm trees swaying in the cooling summer breeze - with the soothing sounds of the waves breaking on the shoreline -is the perfect start to the day. leave your watch on the bed stand and stroll up to the main house and treat to yourself to a first class home made breakfast on the terrace overlooking the coconut groves. A short 30 minute round trip (on foot!) is the deli - the ideal place to pick up your baguettes - what better to have for breakfast and to accompany your beach picnic? The store is a Godsend - as it has everything in its four walls - from souvenirs to grocery provisions, and if you are are missing your 'coffee to go' you can pick up one of these too! The day has to be spent on the beach. Pack yourself all those novels you have vowed to read - and use the day to catch up on on your reading . The uninterrupted day should be punctuated with dips in the clear warm ocean and the occasional raids on the fridge for a light lunch. with your tan suitably topped up and as the sun light begins to fade - head back and have a refreshing shower in the unique shower cubicle - standing on the pebbled floor. As the evening chorus of crickets commences, whip up a light dinner - in the galley - large enough for a 'all hands on deck' dinner - where your entire party can contribute to the meal. Then in the light of the league of hurricane lamps, and the sound of your favorite music in the background enjoy your meal; crack open the wine and savor the moment - paradise found!

I have been to tir na n’og for the last three years and I hope to go every year. It is impossible to capture the beauty and serenity in pictures or words. To me, I look forward to completely unwinding and letting everything go. I bring two suitcases, the second filled with all my reading material. It is truly a special place in which you are swimming in the most beautiful turquoise crystal clear water staring at what looks like unlimited private beach. Not a hotel or high rise or anything unnatural in sight. I come with a few friends and this past time my friend and her husband and baby. The set up is perfect to enjoy coffee in the morning cocktails and grilling outdoors at night. You can comfortably pass in the wind, be at the beach leisurely, slip into a nap on the hammock, or hit the tennis courts for an anytime game. …..It is also the perfect venue for a big group having a blast. Hire the cook, going out to dinner, cocktail on the beach, etc.

Tir na nog is a 180 degree departure from the frenetic pace of urban life. The idyllic backdrop of Eleuthera is unspoiled by over-development and the accommodations on the Tir Na N'og estate beautifully compliment, rather than compete with the serene and untarnished setting of the island. It's the perfect getaway; it's an attainable distance from the continent (i.e. less than 5 hours from NYC), where you can replenish your soul.

Tir Na Nog in Governor's Harbour, Bahamas was hands down the BEST vacation EVER!! The property and the four villas on it are absolutely amazing!!! The pictures just don't do it justice! The two restaurants, which we walked to on the beach, had amazing food and even better drinks! The beach is very private, with tons of reefs for a great snorkling experience. The natives were extremely friendly and very helpful with any questions I had. I really hope to return and do it all over again soon!!! Thanks for such a unforgettable vacation!!!

A vacation at Tir Na Nog is the ultimate Bahamas experience. Very private beaches, exhilarating snorkeling, kayaking and world class fishing. Enjoy excellent cuisine on your own ocean-view veranda, or at the numerous fine local restaurants. Explore the island by car, bike,or on foot for delightful surprises at every turn. We are looking forward to our return.

Photo's can't describe how nice Tir na Nog truly is. I went in March with friends and we had the time of our lives. What the photo's don't show is how beautiful the beach is and how spacious the property really is. I think we saw 3 people on the beach all week. A half mile walk in either direction gets you to two of the best restaurant/bars in Govenors Harbor. I can't wait to return - thanks for such a great vacation!

This house is perfect, every last detail seems to have been thought about...you could never run out of something to do! between the private beach, beach games, kayaks, snorkeling and the tennis courts for the day and then the DVD's, board games and Tippy’s restaurant just a hop skip and a jump down the road we found ourselves amused 24/7! We really did have the time of our life.
