The Three bedroom Tommy Bahama Island House has original hardwood floors, new wood cabinette kitchen, Flat screen 32" TV, quality stereo and CD player, DVD, Quality Posturpedic mattresses with new designer linens and comforter, as well as Feather Pillows. Tommy Bahama Island wood furniture, designer decorated and well appointed house. Classic charming beach house with small front and rear porch. This 1920s beach house had an interior update in 2007 with new bathrooms, tile floors, new roofs and furniture. There are a total of 10 cottages in this group so if this one is rented, please email us for availability of the other 1,2,and 3 bedroom cottages.
There are no streets to cross just step out back door, walk past two other houses and your on the beach., To access the backyard from the Tommy Bahama house, you walk past three cottages on Mandalay Ave or walk past three house to be on the beach. There is a private Commercial Stainless Steel BBQ Grill in the back yard of the cottages .The Tommy Bahama Island House is 6 blocks walk or about 10 minutes to Pier 60 and all the Restuarants on the beach. Across street and 3 blocks walk to Olympic size heated swimming pool, tennis courts and basketball, community and recreation center for children and playground. Free admission passes given to guests who stay one week. Maximum free passes is 6. Heated Kiddy pool has big water slides and fountains, and lifeguards.
Email owner for availability and questions. We do not update the calender .There are 10 rental cottages available in this group and usually have one available. Three day rentals available.
There is an 18 foot Chaparral open bow boat available for charter for trips to Honeymoon Island, Caladesi Island, and even Tarpon Springs. Stainless steel gas BBQ grill at the Cottages. The is no charge to use the manager's bicycles.

Wedding parties and other family reunion services available. We do not just leave the key under the mat. When you rent from Clearwater Cottages our friendly staff meets you at check in, and insures that all your vacation needs are met so you have a great beach vacation.
Our Policies: There are additional cleaning charges added to your bill if the trash is not put in the outside Garbage pails, dishes left in sink, very messy cottage, towels or anything missing. This is a beautiful Island home. Noise after 11:00 pm, inviting unregistered guest overnight without permission, or unacceptable behavior such as public intoxication will result in eviction without refund. We expect this home to be in the same condition as when you arrive, except put used towels in bathroom and please dont make the beds.
The beach is 300 steps, yards walk just down the block (less than 20 seconds)
Pier 60 with vendors, street performers, entertainers, fishing pier, bands and nightime activities 6 blocks walk,about 10 minutes.
Frenchy's Rockaway Seafood Restaurant and Palm Pavilion outdoor waterfront restaurants 4 blocks walk. Live music at both and directly on the sand.State of the art Olympic size adult heated pool and children's play pool, showers, lifeguard, recreation center, tennis and basketball, library and boat ramp just across the street and 3 blocks walk (small fee for guests all provided by the City of Clearwater $4.00) Free children's playground and park with bocci courts, rides, BBQ grill just across the street, two block down on Mandalay Ave. Trolley and bus stop just outside next block take you everywhere for just $1.50 Angelo's Pizza for the hungry and Shipwreck Bar for the thirsty just across street. This is a state of the art recreation complex and only a few dollars admission when you show your reciept from a participating Clearwater Beach Vacation Resort. We provide Free Passes for your first two days, when you stay one week at Clearwater Cottages. Air Conditioned Excercise Facilities over look the water ways.

You can walk to waterfront restaurants on the sand from the house, (past 2 other houses).Located outside of hotel district, but not in boring residential area. Quiet, yet activity from Pizza restaurant across street and daily beach goers. Best location in Clearwater Beach. You'll see.

This was, by far, the best beach getaway we’ve booked in years and want to thank you for your wonderful hospitality. The Island House was eclectic, charming, beachy and fun. We enjoyed a family reunion at the Tommy Bahama Guest House. Each of the teens had their own bedroom with LCD TV and Stereo. They enjoyed seperate airconditioners and ceiling fans and a back entrance so we had our privacy in the great master bedroom. This unique room had curtains that opened to the front and middle living room so the room felt especially large. The swivel mounted large LCD TV was a nice touch as well as remotes for the aircondition, ceiling fans and TV. This was a designed decorated house with a Titanic Ship feel, even with the captains bell. All the extras were in it as it was the hotels private weekend beach retreat at one time. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching the activies and people go by on Mandalay ave in the morning and the rear deck at night with drink in hand watching the sun set. We had a great beach vacation and thoroughly enjoyed this unique old Florida beach house. We would recommend it for family reunions, romantic weekend retreat, and folks who just love the beach. My grown children and grandchildren joined us to enjoy a family vacation in Cleawater Beach. We stayed at the private Tommy Bahama Island House and had a great vacation. With the beach just a stone throw from the house we walked our grandchildren to the beach daily. There were no streets to cross and no parking on our side of the street, so we enjoyed no car traffic. The Pizza place across the street was lively but also entertaining from our rear porch which had a Gulf of Mexico view. We just loved the whole classic beach house experience. Fabulous sunsets right from the rear porch. The house was extremely interesting with Key West decorating and pictures of the Titanic in the bedrooms as a decorating theme. Much more exciting than a condo or upscale hotel. Slighly crooked floors even gave the old house a bit of charm. Very upscale comforters and drapes showed that the owner really cared about this beach house.Lots of French windows in most of the rooms. We enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen which was well equipt. The house had lots of beach chairs, umbrellas, fishing poles and beach toys which we took to the beach daily. A nice easy family vacation at the classic beach house. The Owner asked for our opinion and here is . Ida

What a great beach vacation. Usually I stay at a beach front condo , but this was so cool. I felt like a guest in the movie Key Largo or Casablanca. The Owner put in a lot of special touches, like Large LCD TV, high end stereo, and had it Designer Decorated with expensive Tommy Bahama Furniture. Although the ceilings were low, and the floors not exactly level, the character and charm of this old beach was could not be beat. The master bedroom had Sterns and Foster mattress, the other rooms Sealy Posturepedic mattress. The Feather pillows were a nice touch. Then I found out the owner was a retired Chiropractor. Go figure. I really enjoyed just stepping off the back porch and walking down to the water. It was real nice not to have to get into a cold elevator and waste 15 minutes everytime I wanted a drink. I totally enjoyed this cottage with the Pizza place just across the street. Would highly recommend this cottage rental.

What an unexpected delight. After staying in so many beach condos, this was a delighfully different experience. I felt like Humphrey Bogart in Cassablanca. I slept in the west porch bedroom with door open allowing Gulf breezes through the house all night. The crashing of waves and wind made me feel like being in real Florida. The Decor brought me back in time and felt like I really was at an Island. Nice touches like ceiling fans in all room, large plasm TV, Air conditioner units in all bedrooms. Great location. Was able to walk everywhere. Will return soon, I hope. K
