  I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful place it is! And the owner was lovely and thoughtful. He came over to say hello and to make sure everything was okay and offered to pick up anything we might need at the store knowing that we didn't have a car with us. I am very impressed. The apartment was very clean and the welcome book anticipated every possible need a guest might have. There was even coffee in the freezer for the coffee maker!! We enjoyed our stay very much and will be sure to recommend this to everyone!!

  When we started planning our trip to DC, I knew I was going to need an apartment because a hotel was going to be extremely expensive for 5 people. As I began my search, all the apartments I found were very costly. Finally, I came across this one and was very happy! Not only was it very comfortable but it was in a nice and safe neighborhood. The distances in Washington are all pretty long, but the walk to the museums weren't that bad only about 20 mins. I would definitely recommend this place and stay here again!!

  Very clean apartment well furnished and excellent towels and comfy beds. Good location for walking to Union Station and Capitol Hill. A map/directions to the nearest supermarket would have been helpful when arriving in the dark. Only complaint was the slightly noisy people in the upstairs apartment early each morning but it did not spoil our stay - Highly recommend the apartment.

  The off street parking was a little tight for a minivan, but otherwise the apartment was great. We spent the days sight seeing and crashed at the apartment each night. It was nice having a kitchen for breakfast and evening snacks/meals. Being able to spread out in the living room or go to bed away from the rest of the family was much nicer than being stuck in a hotel room with everyone crammed together. We drove to Union Station to park during the day and had to pay for parking, but was very easy to get around using the trolley to get to all the sights. Would definately recommend this apartment to others. Location was a little ways out but easy to find and very quiet neighborhood.

  The apartment looked similar to the website but it was obvious that it had not been cleaned (or at least a thorough cleaning) in awhile. There were spider webs and dust everywhere. We noticed blankets and comforters balled up in the bedroom closets. There weren't any face towels for bathing. The accent pillows on the sofa were filthy and should be thrown out. The front of the home looked as if it were abandoned. However, it was spacious enough so the children could relax. I would not recommend this apartment unless a major cleaning is done.

  We stayed for 3 nights in August. We arrived early and the home owner was very nice and made sure we were set up properly. He told us about the bus routes, grocery store, and some local restaurants. We were gone most of the time and returned at night. I agree with the othe reviews. The location was good. It took us 15 minutes to walk to Union Station where we caught the hop on hop off each day. On our way home, there was a block of restaurants so we stopped and ate there. The Mexican restaurant was great! We felt safe the whole time we were there. It was a friendly community. It was nice to have the space in the apartment and a kitchen. I would suggest that the home owner replace the cushions on the dining room chairs. The couch really sunk in, making it a challenge to get comfortable to watch tv or relax. We too found the floors to be dirty- we just wore our flip flops as a result. Closet space was minimal so we just left our clothes folded in our suitcase. Overall, considering price point and location- it was fine.

  We arrived just before sundown, which made it easier to find the apartment. It was tricky locating the address number on the fence, but we eventually did. The place is very spacious and although modestly furnished, the amazing art work on the walls did a fabulous job warming up each of the rooms. We settled in easily and were pleased to have a full-size kitchen equipped with everything we needed as we planned on eating breakfast and dinner there - which is why we selected this rental. The bathroom was a little too small for our family of five, but it was modern and clean – we like clean. We found the beds to be very comfortable and sleeping wasn’t an issue at all after touring the sites each day. The owner was quick to respond to my inquiry about internet access (which should be listed among amenities) and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. In reading the previous reviews, it is obvious the owner took efforts to make changes to please their guests. In the end, I would be delighted to stay at the property again and would not hesitate to recommend it to a friend. I do recommend that if you are staying here without a car, walking to the nearest grocery and CVS be done in daylight hours. Overall, the apartment is charming and being surrounded by some of the owner’s own artwork is really a nice touch! My only reason for not giving full stars are for monetary reasons and may have nothing to do with the owner, but the service employed to rent out the apartment. I believe being charged $15 for each of my three children, per night is excessive; and, in reality the parking spot is the backyard, not requiring a permit from the city, so $15 per day was again, excessive – especially with the added 14.5% tax. Items I'll be more careful about next time when making reservations.

  We stayed for three nights. My son loved having his own room in the front of the house and some space to run around in. It was nice to be able to spread out, have use of a kitchen and a washer/dryer (we had no problems with it--did 3 loads of laundry while there). The beds were quite comfy, the sofa, not so much for sitting on--but it's a sofa bed, it's expected. We used the MetroBus across the street and a taxi a couple of times, then walked around H Street for dinner one night. We went to a little family grocery store a couple of blocks down; not a lot there, but we were able to get milk, breakfast items & a couple of snacks. I know there was a much larger chain grocery store down the street a bit further, but it had been a long day and we didn't want to walk much more. My only complaint was the floors were significantly dirty...turned our feet/socks black. Kind of gross, so everyone just wore flip flops around the house. On our last night there, the bathroom (or something) upstairs had flooded and we ended up with water pooling, then dripping from the ceiling in the bathroom in several places. No one was home upstairs, and the owner did not hear me calling his cell (it was very late: 1am). We just rigged up a funnel for the water to go into the sink and put towels all over the floor. The owner came over the next morning, extremely apologetic for the incident. Not sure what happened after that, it was time for us to catch a taxi to the airport. By the way, we had met him earlier in our stay, very nice man.

  Who would not want to experience a typical Washington DC neighborhood while staying in a spacious apartment designed like an art gallery with fabulous three dimensional permanent collection paintings which we were told was done by an Italian sculptor painter. The nice owner is also a painter and his paintings can also be seen in the two bedrooms. Above all, the apartment is clean and quite comfortable. The Capitol is thirteen blocks west of the apartment, a good 15 minutes walk and the bus stop is not too far only a block away......quite a few good restaurants and bars on H street just north of the apartment. Ask the owner for a discount code # if you're doing quite a bit of shopping from the Safeway store a block and a half east of the apartment it can surely save you some money. Hey, we were a family of 5 and the apartment was more than enough.

  We were 6 woman on a girls weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the apartment, The location was great and the apartment beautiful. The owner was very helpful and pleasant.
