  We took our family vacation here summer of 2007. I have never stayed in such a beautiful and nice rental. We will for sure rent again in the future. This home has everything you need to enjoy your vacation. Its a relaxing home. My favorite was the screened in porch!! I spent most of my mornings and nights sitting on that porch. This rental is for sure home away from home! The owners are super friendly people. I'd like to thank them for allowing us to rent their home. My family will never forget our first trip to Folly Beach!!! This home made our vacation perfect!

  eve been locked out of a place with 4 tired hungry kids? It's no fun. When we rented here, though and locked ourselves out accidently (the place uses key codes but we inadvertently locked an inside door), the owners called us aback in 5 minutes to help us resolve the issue. An unexpected and welcome extra!!! When you visit Folly having to drive a car is a drag (golf carts are OK, though!). This property is so close to everything - beach, restaurant and shops - that we rarely had to drive anywhere. The property was well equipped with everything we needed except food and some basics. When we arrived, we turned off the thermostat as nice cross breezes kept the unit well ventilated at a comfortable temperature. The kitchen and bedrooms were well equipped, and the pool was open so the kids could go swimming. When we charted a local captain, he met us right at the dock at the property so we didn't even have to walk/drive to the boat ramp (which is a 2 minute walk, btw). As i mentioned, we had a couple of minor issues of our own doing, and the owners called us back in minutes to resolve the issues. I would say if you're looking for a comfortable place to stay with responsive owners, you'd have a real tough time beating this place on Folly!

  As long time Charleston visitors, no year can go without at least one trip to the area. We had just about exhausted our determination to make each trip "different." Then we happened to read about a place on the river on Folly Beach. Having stayed on the ocean side before, we decided to give the river side a chance. And glad we are to have done it. The place we chose, since we had another relative joining us, was a three bedroom at Water's Edge. We figured that with three bedrooms, she would have a choice of the other two once we grabbed the river view bedroom. She was more than pleased with the lovely Pottery Barn type bedroom available to her. The house was all we had hoped for, the porch overlooking the water was a wonderful place to compare the tide levels while having coffee or a drink in the evening. The kitchen had a high countered island which was perfect for jigsaw puzzles on a rainy day and we did have one of those but didn't mind a bit! The owners had bikes there which were perfect as my husband and I both ride frequently and used them every day to not only pick up the morning paper but tour the island at our leisure. I believe we only used our car 3 times while we were there, twice to go into Charleston to walk and eat, and once to go to the Charleston Tea Plantation and the Firefly Distillery on Wadmalaw Island. That is a trip I would highly suggest to anyone. It was a lovely week in a lovely place and we would return there in a minute given the time to do so. Not only would I recommend this property in the future, I have already done so to friends who love the area as much as we do and the four of us are trying to get our calendars together to find a time when we can go back. This time WE may have to take the bedroom without the river view, but it will still be worth it. Oh yes, on their recommendation, The Ordinary in Charleston is anything but ordinary and according to them, not to be missed. And on Folly Beach, we loved the Black Magic Cafe and Wich Doctor! This place was all it said it was and we hated to leave.

• Great townhome

  The townhouse was a great place to stay for the weekend....it accommodated our family very well, was withing walking distance to everything, and in a very quiet area.( My grandson loved looking at the boats in the"backyard"). The bedrooms worked great for us, as we have a 4 yr. old and 4 mo. old grandsons. Everything we needed was there, even though we didn't have the chance to use all of the outdoor equipment provided. We would definitely rent this unit again, the owners were very easy to work with, as we made last minute reservations.

  We went looking for a relaxing weekend away and were not disappointed. This town home is PERFECT! The pictures do not do it justice! Conveniently located to Charleston, yet nestled away on Folly Beach, this place as all you could ask for a more. The property is clean, cheerfully decorated, equipped with kitchen supplies, has bikes you can use, plenty of space, within walking distance to the quaint downtown of Folly Beach... PERFECT! The communication with the owner and the way she worked with us only made the experience even better. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY!

  We really enjoyed our trip to Folly beach. This town house offered a really comfortable "home style" feeling. The owners have done a great job to make this home bright and relaxing. Our favourite part was the screened in porch. Whether it was coffee in the morning, relaxing in the late afternoon or a glass of wine after the baby had gone to bed this was the perfect place to unwind. We can't wait to come back for another visit. Thanks Elizabeth for making this such a pleasant vacation for our family!!

  We rented this condo last summer and it was wonderful to have such a lovely space to stay. The condo is in a great area that allows not only a short walk to the beach and downtown (about 2 blocks) but also allows for crabbing/fishing off the private dock. We enjoyed it so much, we booked a week this summer as well! We had 6 people and there was plenty of elbow room for us, with 3 bathrooms making the clean up between the beach and dinner quick and easy! Thanks for offering such a wonderful vacation option for us!

  We visit Charleston 3-4 times per year, always using vrbo.com or homeaway.com to book all of our accommodations. This townhouse was one of the best properties we've ever rented. It's beautifully decorated, incredibly clean, and includes bikes. We enjoyed walking to Folly's restaurants, riding our bikes to the pier for a day of fishing, and 10 minute drives to downtown Charleston for sightseeing. We're hoping to rent this unit again for two weeks in August.
