Escape on a getaway to historic Charleston! Stay at our comfortable, well-appointed, and beautifully decorated town home on Folly and enjoy the best of both worlds - the relaxed beach atmosphere of Folly and the charm and culture of Charleston.

Our townhome is at Water's Edge, a charming development of colorful Charleston-style homes on Folly Beach. We are located in a quiet, tucked-away area on the river, but just a few short blocks to the beach and fun town of Folly. This is a beautiful, clean, no-smoking villa with one of the best locations on Folly.

Enjoy amazing views of the Folly River and marsh on comfortable Tommy Bahama-style lounge chairs from the screened-in porch and from the second-floor master balcony. Our townhome sleeps nine comfortably - there is a twin over double bunk in the first-floor bedroom; queen in second bedroom; king in master, and a queen sleeper sofa.

We have endeavored to make our home a stand-out, from the comfortable beds and soft sheets, to the gas grill and outdoor shower to wash away sand from a day at the beach.

Spend the afternoon by the river-front pool while watching boats drift by, or fish off the community pier where spectacular sunsets are almost guaranteed.

Explore the eclectic town of Folly Beach, which boasts surf shops, great breakfast spots, seafood restaurants, and beachy bars. Stroll the 1,000-foot fishing pier or take a leisurely bike ride on the island. Beach bikes are included for your use as well as a comfortable two-person kayak.

Charleston, with all its culture and charm, is an easy 15-minute drive away.

  • My wife and I came down to the Charleston area for our honeymoon. We had looked into other types of accomodations, but decided to rent this particular townhouse for the week due to the high-level of professionalism and organization of the owners. The whole process was easy and the pictures that are posted on the property description page ARE exactly what you will see. The townhome was very beautiful and quiet. The community was very quiet and the other residents were friendly and nice. For the money, the townhome was a much better value than a hotel because you get a lot more space, a nice garage with plenty of parking for multiple vehicles, and the convenience and closeness of Charleston-15 minutes flat down to the Charleston harbor. The kitchen was well stocked and the whole house was very clean and spotless. We thoroughly enjoyed our time down in Charleston and would highly recommend this particular property without reservation. We were thrilled with the level of service and we would like to make a trip down to Charleston on a frequent basis because of our pleasurable experience.

  • We stayed at the Spaids home for a week and my family was so very comfortable. I am normally extremely picky where we stay and I felt right at home from the moment I entered. The Spaids were extremely good at correspondence which made me feel so much better. We are planning to return to Folly again and I can't think of a better place to stay.   • We completely enjoyed our stay. It is a gorgeous home and the location is perfect. Lovely views from the porches and from the pier. Everything is within walking distance: beach, shops, restaurants, a park. It was exactly what we were hoping for and we can't wait to go back.

  • What a fantastic 6 weeks my wife and I spent at the Spaid's home in Folly Beach. The accomadations were top notch. They supply everything you need. The outdoor temperatures averaged 50 degrees, which afforded us the opportunity to run outside everyday, a welcomed change to the single digit teperatures in New Jersey. However, we did split our exercise time between the beach and Gold's Gym that is only 5 miles away. The local restarants are to numerous to mention. Great location I recommend to anyone who loves the beach. Some restaurants we enjoyed were, Coast in downtown Charleston, and The Charleston Crab House on Sullivan island. There is simply nothing negative to say about the accomadations or the area in which this stay was spent. There are plenty of activities, attractions, and entertainment within driving distance. Once again we would like to reiterate the fact that this is as closed to paradise as paradise can get. Stupendous
