The Colbert Farm House was built in 1887 by Adam Roland, the Great Grandfather of the current owner, Harold Colbert and has been in the family for four generations. The farm house is located on Coder Road, two miles west of Calvin.
The rustic, secluded eight room farm house is in beautiful Trough Creek Valley. The house Has 4 bedrooms with two Queen size beds and two full size beds. Bedrooms are furnished with Rustic cedar-log furniture. The sun room is equipped with a gas fireplace, and is an ideal spot to watch wildlife. The 150 acre farm borders State Game Lands.

We loved our stay at the farmhouse - it is full of character. The upstairs bedrooms are very pretty and spacious. The kitchen is full of old-time charm, and the living room with the TV is small and cozy. The sunroom is awesome - spacious, bright, with view of woods. Harold also keeps the property outside well-maintained. We sat around the campfire in the evening, hiked in the nearby woods in the daytime, and just relaxed. Our 2 dogs had a blast running around the big yard. You feel like you're in the middle of nowhere but you're actually not too far of the beaten path. We will be going back often! Hopefully when there's snow. Great value for the money.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We loved the farm. Staying in the home was well worth the trip alone. Enjoying the lake was an extra bonus. We enjoyed waking up in the morning and sitting in the Florida room with a cup of Joe .just watching the wildlife do their thing. Or sitting by the fire at night and toasting marshmallows and then getting into the jacuzzi and just complete relaxation. All this for a very affordable price!! Judy and Harold were very nice and if you would allow. We would love to come back.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway.
