There is 1 TV with dish network, DVD/CD & VCR player (movie rentals are right across the street).
There is also a portable radio to use. The kitchen has a full fridge & range and all the essentials you would need to cook with including coffee pot, microwave and toaster oven.
There is only 1 bathroom with a shower with an endless hot water system. There is a charcoal barbecue grill on the brick patio (which is open) with a couple of chairs.
The beach is ALL SAND and there is a dock to use for lounging & swimming use only. The water is so clear and sandy with a slow gradual slope and you can even see the snails making trails in the water!
Boats can be anchored by the dock (just not attached to the dock). The backyard has a fire pit that is shared with a joint cabin located on the same property. All of the essentials you might need (including and ice cream stand, fire wood or even pizza) can be found right across the street.
There is a bike/rollerblade/walking path right outside the front door which will take you around all 7 lakes in the area. There is also a playground right around the corner and plenty of other children to play with in the area.
We are located about 15 minutes from East Tawas where there is plenty of shopping, a long pier for fishing, beaches on Lake Huron, putt putt golf, etc. We are also about 30 minutes either way from Omer & Oscoda where there are canoe rentals.

$85/$65 night (2 night minimum; 3 night minimum on Holiday weekends)
Weekly rental are Sat 3:00 pm - Sat 11-12:00 p.m.
Deposit - $100/$50 (30 days in advance)
Payment in full 14 days prior to arrival
Deposit refunded within 14 days after stay and if no damage to property

Year Purchased: 2004
My husband and his family built a cottage down the street in 1978. When his parents decided to sell the property we decided to purchase our property on Sand Lake. It is only 3 hours from where we live so we travel there often to "get out of the city."
Why the Owner Chose Hale
The cottage is only 10 miles from East Tawas and Lake Huron. There is a bike/rollerblade/walking path right outside the front door which will take you around all 7 lakes in the area. There is also a playground right around the corner and plenty of other children to play with in the area. We are located about 15 minutes from East Tawas where there is plenty of shopping, a long pier for fishing, beaches on Lake Huron, etc. We are also about 30 minutes either way from Omer & Oscoda where there are canoe rentals.

Cozy cottage on beautiful private sandy beach/lakefront on (all sports) Sand Lake. Our cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and dining area that is open to the living room. Enjoy the relaxation on the patio or enjoy the private beach. The water is so clear and sandy with a slow gradual slope and you can even see the snails making trails in the water! There is also a dock for swimming when weather permits. There is also a fire pit on the beach. Take a short walk to Huron National Forest State Park, playground and local stores for ice cream, pizza, movie rentals and other necessities.
