This gorgeous cabin is located on an all sports lake and was recently renovated to an open floor plan. The bathroom has a full tub/shower with an endless hot water system. Equipped with dish network, DVD/CD & portable radio to use. There is a charcoal grill on the uncovered brick patio along with a couple of chairs & a picnic table.
The private sandy beach has a nice dock to use for lounging & swimming. Boats can be anchored by the dock (not attached to the dock). The lake is so clear and sandy with a slow gradual slope which is great for kids. You can even see the snails making tracks & lots of minnows in the water!
The yard is large enough to play games and also has a large fire pit. All of the essentials you might need (including movie rentals, ice cream stand, pizza, hot food, fire wood, etc.) is located across the street.
There is a bike/rollerblade/walking path right outside the front door which will take you around all 7 lakes in the area. A playground is located around the corner and a public beach/picnic area on Sand Lake is about 1/4 mile, restaurants, gas station & additional stores (all along the bike path).
We are located 15 minutes from East Tawas where there is plenty of shopping, piers for fishing, beaches on Lake Huron, putt putt golf, etc. We are also 30 minutes either way from Omer & Oscoda where there are canoe rentals. Hale is 15 minutes away also.

Year Purchased: 2004
My husband's family built a cottage (with Sand Lake access) down the street in 1978. When his parents decided to sell the property we decided to purchase our property on Sand Lake. It is only 3 hours from where we live so we travel there often to "get out of the city."
Why the Owner Chose Hale
The cottage is only 10 miles from East Tawas and Lake Huron. There is a bike/rollerblade/walking path right outside the front door which will take you around all 7 lakes in the area. There is also a playground right around the corner and plenty of other children to play with in the area. We are located about 15 minutes from East Tawas where there is plenty of shopping, a long pier for fishing, beaches on Lake Huron, etc. We are also about 30 minutes either way from Omer & Oscoda where there are canoe rentals.

Beautifully renovated, open concept cottage on beautiful private sandy beach/lakefront on (all sports) Sand Lake. Our cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and dining area that is open to the living room. Enjoy the relaxation on the patio or enjoy the private beach. The water is so clear and sandy with a slow gradual slope and you can even see the snails making trails in the water! There is also a dock for swimming when weather permits. There is also a fire pit on the beach. Take a short walk to Huron National Forest State Park, playground and local stores for ice cream, pizza, movie rentals and other necessities.

My family has just gotten back from our first visit and plan on returning again. The convenience to everything is great! Nice to sit on dock and see the fish in the water. The lake and beach is perfect for kids.

Stayed during the 4th of July holiday. So many spectacular fireworks around the lake! Everything you need is within walking distance. Tawas is only a short drive away too! Looking forward to my next trip.

Stayed at this cottage last year and am looking forward to returning again this year. Great location and lots of things to do in the area. Water is so clear and sandy. It is shallow for quite a ways so it is very safe for children to play. People in the area are great and very friendly. Highly recommended.

If you want the perfect get a way this is it. The lake is so perfect for children of all ages. The cottage had everything we needed & extremely clean. We took a ride to Lumbermans Monument just 30 miles away, what a beautiful place. Plenty of site seeing around Tawas, but our favorite place was the cottage. Swimming & boating was awesome. We want to thank Scott & Sue for a perfect place to enjoy our vacation. Everyone come and stay and you will agree.
